A 60 grain jacketed hollowpoint will leave a three inch barrel at about 1,074 feet per second, giving you about 150 foot pounds of energy. You can take the risk but I'd prefer to put a 230 grain JHP out of my four inch, .45 caliber barrel at 850 feet per second which should carry about 350 foot pounds of energy.freedomforall wrote:How about the 1903, Colt .32 auto?
Why not buy a Taurus Poly, Public Defender and use these? Four OOO Buck per roundbrianj wrote:Does anybody even make .38 special with buckshot? Looking at my preferred online retailer I only see #4 and #9 birdshot.
Ok full disclosure: I own the Serbian M88. It feels great in the hand and is actually modeled after Browning's 1903 single action semi auto. Great little pistol, although I wish it was a smidge more accurate. It's enough to get the job done though. Solid steel production, too. If you prefer a longer barrel, go with their M70. Also a nice win. Consequently, these are made by Zastava. They have some others in that price range that are pretty formidable Sig Sauer knock offs....freedomforall wrote: ↑February 16th, 2017, 8:33 pm Best handguns under $300

Actually, I know next to nothing about types and efficiencies of guns. I've owned a few guns and have a couple and only am looking for a nice CC, but I'm not hard pressed. I'm going to look into the Bersa brand. Thanks.iWriteStuff wrote: ↑March 1st, 2017, 9:52 am Why haven't you listed any Bersas on there? They have some great .380s under $300 that are modeled after the Walther PPK, except they are built better, more reliably, and way less expensive. Bersa Thunder is a great gun, and my wife's personal favorite (she eats bulls eyes with that thing).
My $.02.
