Thinking on it, don't know why, don't need another gun. But then, this really isn't like buying another gun--but I'd have to buy sights for my single shot shot gun---

I dunno, maybe--

CHEYENNE — Legislation asserting that firearms made, sold and kept only in Wyoming are exempt from all federal gun laws is set to become law after it easily cleared the Wyoming Legislature on Wednesday.

Supporters say the bill is mainly a symbolic shove against the federal government, and it remains to be seen whether the fight will carry over to the courts or even to Wyoming streets.

The Wyoming Firearms Freedom Act passed the state Senate without objection on Wednesday. Gov. Dave Freudenthal has indicated that he will sign the bill into law. Two other states, Tennessee and Montana, have enacted similar laws.

Wyoming’s Firearms Freedom Act, though, is harsher than those laws, as it states that any state or federal official who tries to enforce any federal gun law on a firearms made and sold in Wyoming could face a $2,000 fine and up to a year in prison.

While that might conjure up images of Wyoming sheriffs arresting U.S. marshals who try to enforce federal laws on Wyoming guns, state Rep. Allen Jaggi, R-Lyman, said the bill was mainly intended to be a symbolic assertion of Wyoming residents’ constitutional rights.

“I think unless we have some overzealous federal officers, this is not a real big deal to them,” said Jaggi, who authored the legislation. “I’m hoping that nothing really happens except that other states see, ‘Hey they did it — let’s do it. Let’s assert our state rights.’ ”

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s office in Cheyenne did not return a call seeking comment late Wednesday afternoon.

BUTTE, MONTANA

Shotgun preteen vs. Illegal alien Home Invaders:
Butte, Montana November 5, 2007

Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez, 23, and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two-story home.

It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine.

Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.

Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the 11-year-old's knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals.

When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and stagge red out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.

It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That victim, 50-year-old David Burien, was not so lucky. He died from stab wounds to the chest.

Ever wonder why good stuff never makes NBC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, CNN, or ABC news........an 11 year old girl, properly trained, defended her home, and herself......against two murderous, illegal immigrants......and she wins,
She is still alive.

Now that is Gun Control!

Thought for the day:

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'

I like this kind of e-mail. American citizens defending themselves and their homes.

I "think" I have decided to purchase the SG insert in .45 ACP, just deciding if I want the 10 insert or the 18 inch insert, I'm leaning towards the ten inch, can't decide---Don't want to make my shotgun heavier, but might want the extra bit of range. The shotgun I'll be using it in is a single shot break action with full choke. Have been working on afixing sights---

Iron Ridge Arms IRA-10 Complete Rifle: This time, Thor’s hammer takes the form a 7.62mm tactical AR rifle/carbine.
http://www.defensereview.com/iron-ridge ... lecarbine/

Iron Ridge website -
http://www.ironridgeguns.com/
Specifically, the pistol is an HK45 LEM. If you’ve been following the P30 test, you know that the LEM trigger has completely won me over. The only complaint is that the P30’s reset could stand to be a bit shorter. Well, the LEM mechanism in the HK45 answers that call by cutting the reset distance in half. How much practical benefit we’ll see from that — especially in a gun that has substantially more recoil than a 9mm — is an open question, but it sure feels good.

The HK45 is a particularly great choice because two good friends — Larry Vickers and Ken Hackathorn — played major roles in the gun’s design and development. That’s like saying Tiger Woods helped design your golf clubs (except neither Larry’s nor Ken’s wife is likely to chase them through the front yard while hitting them over their heads with an HK45, but you get the idea). You can expect to see both Larry and Ken discussing their thoughts on the HK45 here at pistol-training.com over the next few months.

If all goes according to plan, shooting will begin this week with a goal of reaching the 50,000 round mark before the end of the year. This will be the first non-9mm test we’ve done, and it should be an exciting year!

* How much will the added recoil of a .45 affect shootability?
* How will the larger size impact everyday concealability?
* How will HK’s first “made in the USA” pistol stack up against its Teutonic brethren?

Obviously, tremendous credit goes to Heckler & Koch. For a second year in a row, HK is providing the guns and the ammo for a pistol-training.com endurance test without any control over what we do to the gun, how we use it, or what we say about it.

Thanks to everyone who guessed in the contest, and congratulations again to gtmtnbiker98 for his winning guess!

Those are interesting, but I can't afford one of those weapons? My purpose is for self defense and only self D. For my family, my town and myself. I won't go looking for trouble.

But that stuff is interesting.

Wow, that's a mean looking piece and the price is in my range. I've been shooting a Hi-Point carbine in 9mm, not what I'm looking for. But it shoots fine and is very accurate, I'm just not sold on the 9 mm, nor am I sold on the .40 S&W cartridge. Manly because I want to keep my reloading as simple as possible, with cartridges that are more multi use (defense, hunting, .45 hp-- silence---) Hi-point is supposed to be coming out with a .45 acp in the same carbine, I'm gonna take a good look at that.

http://www.hi-pointfirearms.com/index.html

But thanks for the reference! I'll be studying it!
