After the mother refused to behead her daughter, the Syrian woman said IS militants took it upon themselves to execute the child, they beheaded the little girl and soaked her mother’s hands in her daughter’s blood. Earlier this year, a senior official from an Iraqi-state sponsored Shiite militia claimed that IS had executed a 4-year-old boy in Iraq’s al-Shirqat district by detonating an explosive device “that was attached to the child through a remote-controlled device so that his organs would be blown apart.”
The official said the murder of the boy came after the group had executed the boy’s father for killing two IS fighters.

The New American reports – The United Nations “Human Rights Council,” which counts some of the world’s most ruthless dictatorships as members, sparked global outrage last week by voting to appoint a UN czar to oversee the normalization of homosexuality and transgenderism around the world. In the crosshairs are religious and moral views that reject homosexual behavior as sinful, as well as objective reality and biological facts that until recent years were taken for granted. Father Tom Uzhunnalil, a 56-year-old Indian priest, was taken from Missionaries of Charity Home in the war-ravaged country about five days ago, the Daily Mail reported:
Four gunmen posing as relatives of one of the guests at the home burst inside, killing four Indian nuns, two Yemeni female staff members, eight elderly residents and a guard.
'According to our information, the extremists who attacked the elderly care home in Aden have kidnapped priest Tom Uzhunnalil, a 56-year-old Indian, who was taken to an unknown location,' a Yemeni security official said.
'We are aware that no group has yet claimed the criminal attack... but information points to the involvement of Daesh,' said the source, who asked to remain anonymous, using an Arabic acronym for IS.

"The Islamic State is operating a vast and well-supported network of terrorists in Europe that are ready to launch attacks at any given moment, according to documents obtained by CNN.

The cable network received a massive trove of documents from European investigators that detailed ISIS’s network of terrorists across the European continent. A portion of the documents revealed that the perpetrators of the deadly Paris attacks in November 2015 had planned to engage in several additional follow up attacks by recruiting more operatives. Additionally, documents show that the ISIS network is still active and could engage in further attacks in the near future.

“ISIS is increasing its international attack planning,” Paul Cruickshank, the editor of the CTC Sentinel, a West Point Combating Terrorism Center publication, told CNN. “It’s increasingly sophisticated in the way it does this. It’s set up an intricate, logistical support system for these terrorists … to launch these terrorist attacks.”

Investigators have obtained intelligence that they believe shows the terrorist group’s next target is the U.K. An official told CNN that there is strong evidence suggesting ISIS operatives have increased their infiltration of the U.K in recent months.

In addition to revealing new aspects of the terror group’s European operations, the papers confirm other aspects regarding its logistical support system, especially regarding communications. Investigators have confirmed that the use of encrypted messaging apps like Telegram and WhatsApp have been the key to ISIS’s terror attack plans.

“Encrypted messaging groups have the potential to revolutionize terror plot planning by allowing entire cells to coordinate in real time without compromising themselves,” noted Cruickshank.

One of ISIS’s favorite apps allows a user to pick their own phone number, effectively disguising the location of their calls. Investigators have also discovered that ISIS cells operate independently, with handlers only giving operatives limited information and funding for each phase of an operation. Additionally, the operatives will often share tips with each other based on what has worked for more experienced recruits in the past.

The documents show that despite losing territory in Syria and Iraq, ISIS has a complicated and capable network of terrorists operating abroad. Various experts and policymakers have expressed concern for some time that as the group loses its so-called caliphate, it may revert to its traditional terrorist roots and increase its number of attacks abroad."

Qureshi has defended two Muslim filmmakers in their quest to get pro-Islamic “anti-Islamophobia” advertisements placed in the New York subway system, and he also represented the Saudi Arabian government in a dispute involving a Shariah-compliant Islamic school in the U.S.
His appointment to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, which requires Senate approval, was hailed by the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Islamic Society of North America.
CAIR and ISNA are offshoots of the extremist Muslim Brotherhood and have links to the Hamas terrorist organization as documented by the FBI during the Holy Land Foundation trial in 2007.
CAIR celebrated Qureshi’s appointment on its Facebook page Wednesday.
“The nomination of Abid Qureshi to fill a seat on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia sends a message of inclusion that is welcomed by the American Muslim community and by all Americans who value diversity and mutual respect at a time when some seek division and discord,” Nihad Awad, national executive director of CAIR, said in a statement.
Qureshi has since 2012 headed up the pro bono (charity) division of Latham and Watkins, a major Washington, D.C., law firm.
Going to bat for hard-line Saudi Islamic school in U.S.
His pro bono clients have included prisoners, foreign-educated physical therapists and the National Organization of Concerned Black Men, according to the National Law Journal.
Most troubling for those concerned that Qureshi’s allegiance to Islamic law may influence his view of the U.S. Constitution is his work representing a private school with ties to the hard-line Saudi Arabian government in a case before the National Labor Relations Board.
Abid Qureshi and his team represented the Islamic Saudi Academy, a K-12 private school with the backing of the Saudi government. “The school is on a mission of providing education ‘rooted in the Islamic faith’ to young people of Saudi Arabia residing in the U.S., especially children of government officials and Saudi diplomats,” according to National Law Journal.
The dispute centered on whether the board had jurisdiction over the school’s decision to fire a teacher. Qureshi cleverly cast the case as a matter of religious freedom – and he won the case for the Saudi government school.
“In October, the regional director of the NLRB’s Baltimore office dismissed the claims, embracing [Qureshi’s] argument that any attempt by the NLRB to assert jurisdiction over the academy’s firing of a teacher would encroach on religious freedom,” the National Law Journal reported.
A win for Muslim filmmakers who blast ‘Islamophobes’
In another case, Qureshi represented two Muslim filmmakers in their quest to advertise a pro-Islam documentary called “The Muslims Are Coming!” in the New York public-transit system.
The purpose of the film is to “combat Islamophobia” and counter the anti-Shariah ads that had previously been posted in the New York subway system by anti-Shariah activist Pamela Geller.
The Metropolitan Transit Authority denied the ads, as it did Geller’s, saying they did not conform to its new rules against ads that are “political in nature.” The filmmakers hired Qureshi, who filed suit against the MTA, obtaining a favorable ruling last October, Newsweek reported.
“I wonder how this Muslim judge would rule in my First Amendment cases before the federal court,” Geller told WND in an email. “Would he stand firmly with the freedom of speech enshrined in the First Amendment, or would he defer to his belief system and rule in accordance with the Shariah? His activity in regard to ‘The Muslims Are Coming!’ strongly suggest the latter.”
According to the documentary’s Facebook page, “The Muslims Are Coming! is a comedy documentary which follows a band of Muslim-American comedians as they visit big cities, small towns, rural villages, and everything in between to combat Islamophobia!”
The whole idea of “Islamophobia” is based on the premise that Islam is above reproach and cannot be criticized the way other religions routinely get lampooned and mocked by journalists, Hollywood movies and entertainers, on social media and throughout pop culture. This “above reproach” mentality, where anyone who dares to criticize Islam gets labeled as a racist or bigot, is seen as a form of voluntary Shariah by activists and watchdogs such as Geller and Robert Spencer. There is no comparable “Christphobia,” they argue, for those who criticize Christianity.

Comedy icons appearing in the film include Jon Stewart, David Cross, Janeane Garofalo, Colin Quinn, Lewis Black and Aasif Mandvi. Also appearing are media personalities Rachel Maddow, Russell Simmons, Soledad O’Brien and Ali Velshi. The nation’s first Muslim congressman, Keith Ellison, D-Minn., also appears in the film to “comment on the power of comedy and the political scope of bigotry.”
In the opening seconds, the film takes aim at televangelist Pat Robertson, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and comedian Bill Maher and singles them out as examples of “Islamophobes.”
Maher, an atheist, criticizes all religious activity by all religions, but the film is only concerned about his criticism of Islam.

Daniel Akbari, a certified Shariah lawyer and Islamic expert for the Supreme Court of Iran who defected to America and now lives in Texas as a Christian, said the U.S. media has watered down the term “Muslim” to include anyone from the Middle East who is not a Christian, a Jew or any other religion.
Muslims come in several forms, including cultural “Muslims” who are basically atheist or agnostic and do not practice their faith.
But an “Islamist” is anyone who “practices Islam,” Akbari said, and follows the teachings of Muhammad.
“The Islamic scholars have a term for that. It’s someone who ‘believes’ and who practices Islam. And in the West, we would say that’s radical,” he said. “Coming from the Middle East, we call them a Muslim. But are they agnostic or atheist Muslims, or are they a believing Muslim? Someone who goes to mosque regularly is an Islamist. Unfortunately in the U.S., they have changed the perception.
“If they are a practicing Muslim and not just a cultural Muslim, that is not your harmless neighbor.”
While all Islamists are not terrorists, they do believe in Shariah as being superior to any Western form of law.
“An Islamist is one that has an orthodox understanding of Islam. CAIR, ISNA, all have an orthodox understanding of the authoritative Islamic sources. If you have that, then you believe orthodox rules must rule a person’s life,” Akbari said. “If you are pro- even one law of Shariah, you are an Islamist. If you are someone coming from the Middle East and say, ‘I don’t give a damn about Muhammad and about Islam, but I’m a Muslim,’ then you are not a problem. But if you are talking about someone with an orthodox understanding of Islam, then we should have a problem with you being a judge.”
“So we don’t know if Mr. Qureshi is an Islamist or just a Muslim. But since I’m seeing on Twitter that CAIR and ISNA and all those activists for Shariah are supporting him, I’m suspicious he is an Islamist.”

Liberals have “hijacked” the word Muslim and made it apply to any person who is from the Middle East and not a Christian or a Jew, Akbari said.
“But more than 70 percent of Iranians don’t believe in the Quran, don’t believe in Shariah, and I’m telling you they are atheist,” he said.
Islamist is a “super holy term” in the Quran that is reserved for those who follow all the teachings of Muhammad.
“Quran says if you are Muslim, you are just immune from attack, but you don’t go to paradise,” he said. “If you are going to paradise, you have to fight against infidels and practice Shariah. So if someone is pro-Shariah, that person is, as the Quran says, part of the ‘momin’ or a ‘believer,’ not just someone who prays and does the five pillars, because that five pillars goes nowhere in paradise. The Quran says you must go further, meaning practice Shariah.”
Spencer, who blogs at JihadWatch.com, told WND that even if Qureshi’s record is unblemished by any connections to terror-stained groups or persons, the appointment is an ominous sign about the future of American politics.
“Even if this judge’s background is spotless and patriotism unquestionable, this appointment bodes ill for the future. The Obama administration, and Hillary Clinton, deny that jihad terror has anything to do with Islam,” Spencer told WND in an email. “They have assiduously courted, supported and collaborated with the Muslim Brotherhood. "A four metre high, half mile long, wall will soon grace the port at Calais, to keep migrants from entering ferries illegally. (The Guardian, 7th Sept). It will be built either side of the main two-lane road leading to the terminals. Migrants try to jump cars and trucks at this point, often using violence and weapons, so the idea is welcome to travellers.

The wall has French approval and will cost £17 million. Fences have been in place for some time, but “people are still getting through”, said immigration minister, Robert Goodwill. The illegal camp will be behind the wall, but it seems the wall will not be long enough, because it doesn’t cover the stretch of road next to the sea.

Smooth concrete will be used to prevent easy scaling of the wall, though determined migrants will not be deterred. Some local residents have protested because of the visual impact… but these are the same people whose lives have been ruined by the presence of so many illegal migrants who literally rule Calais with violence! They fail to acknowledge that the camp problem belongs to France and Calais, not to Britain, but it is Britain who will suffer the surge of Muslims if they are allowed illegal entry. Aid workers complain that migrants will take even more dangerous risks to get through. The response of most UK residents would be “Tough” – it is not their problem, but France’s, and, the migrants are illegal anyway, and attack road users from and to the UK.

UK haulage companies, on the other hand, think it wastes money that should go into increased security along the two-lane road. The immigration minister replied that the wall is only part of a larger package, including a safe parking area for trucks, which are attacked daily by migrants. UK ministers are trying to get him to visit the ‘Jungle’ (the Calais migrant camp). However, writers like myself, who monitor and observe these places, do not see why he should go there – the migrants are illegal, and only want to obtain benefits from an already cash-strapped UK. To put it bluntly, Muslim illegals are simply not wanted, especially in the light of Europe-wide violence and rapes from illegals in Germany and elsewhere. The whole issue is driven by Merkel, whose insane migrant policies remain, to harass and plague nationals.

An Irish multi-millionaire UN immigration leader, Peter Sutherland, has called the wall ‘inhumane’. This provoked outrage from those who speak bluntly about the illegal activities of people who are not even refugees. (Almost none of the millions flooding into Europe have refugee or asylum status according to international law – so WHY should they be tolerated?). Sutherland was blasted as a ‘globalist elite’ who, like Soros, wants unlimited movement of people (essential for the creation of a one world socialist government). But, the protestors say – these “wealthy fat-cats” would not have the illegals living within a hundred miles of their properties! Sutherland said that when Trump promised a wall to keep Mexican illegals out, “people in Europe recoiled in disgust” (Daily Express). Typically, only ardent socialists would think that way – most people in the UK do not want this influx of people who hate the West, live illegally at the same time as reaping social security benefits, and impose sharia-type demands on the host country. Few want to work, and they demand housing, education, free health benefits, and much more. Yet, they don’t want to obey laws. This is why most normal folks in Europe want to kick Muslim migrants out.

Al Jazeera, of course. carried the headline “UK slated over planned anti-refugee wall” (8th Sept). Comments were sent in by socialists, but no-one else. As an experiment I tried over six times to send a comment, but the comment box refused to allow me to send it! Why? Probably because I pointed out that Al Jazeera, like so many media outlets, insist on calling the illegals ‘refugees’, They are NOT refugees or asylum seekers according to international law! (See my own article in iPatriot on the definitions). The people at Calais are economic migrants – and these are not defined as refugees, but simply as ‘illegals’ with no right of entry. "NDR News reports that in Hamburg, Germany, a 14-year-old girl snuck out of a government youth home, went to a party, and got incredibly drunk. A 22-year-old Muslim man from Afghanistan proudly declared that he was a superstar in Afghanistan after he sodomised and orally raped a 2-year-old boy. The worst part is that he was only charged with sexual assault and only sentenced to two years in prison.

Jama B., 22, showed no remorse as he was sentenced to just two years and four months behind bars on the milder charge of sexual abuse of the four-year-old boy at the centre in Boostedt, Schleswig-Holstein.

The toddler, from Iraq, was lured into a toilet cubicle at the home in March this year. The court heard the Afghani forced his penis into the child’s mouth.

Afterwards the distraught youngster was returned to his father with his trousers down around his ankles.

During the trial Jama B. boasted: “I’m a superstar in Afghanistan, a singer.”

Judge Stefan Becker refused to comment on the verdict but Peter Boysen, the lawyer who represented the family of the child, said: “it was a one-off act that did not take very long and hopefully will not have harmful long-term effects on the child.

“Therefore there is no reason to complain, even if the sentence could have been maybe half a year longer. I have not therefore advised the parents to appeal against the verdict. He’s better again, the boy, but is still in therapeutic treatment of a child and adolescent psychiatrist.

Jama showed absolutely no remorse for his crime.

A second man, Sohrab S., 29, allegedly stood guard outside the toilet during the assault, which was really rape. He was acquitted for lack of evidence.

Prosecutor Axel Bieler said, “Rape charges are brought only if it was enforced with violence or the threat of violence. We do not assume this was the case.

“Therefore he was indicted on a charge of serious sexual abuse. The penalty doesn’t matter – it is between two and 15 years in jail for rape or for serious sexual abuse.”

Say what? How about the fact that it was forced and that it was upon a child? What kind of mind does Axel Bieler have? I can tell you it is not a critically thinking judicial mind for sure.

Karin Witt is not better. The spokeswoman of the Kiel court said, “The court found no reasons for an increased penalty, such as for example a criminal record for the accused.

“The fact that he was under the influence of alcohol and the high sensitivity towards detention of the offender were both factors in the sentence,” she added. “He is young, knows no German and has already been attacked in pre-trial detention. The victim has also dealt well with the experience of what happened to him and there are no serious consequences to be expected.”

What’s even worse is the comments by the family’s attorney.

People continuing to make excuses for criminal sexual crimes, especially for those who are most innocent among us are a part of the larger problem. Allowing the foreign god of Islam in what was once a Christian country is problematic enough. Excusing the pagans that practice the ideology of Muhammad and engaging in these kinds of crimes is just adding fuel to the fire.

Don’t think it won’t be happening in the United States either. Our own military kicked out Sgt. Charles Martlandfor defending a boy that was raped in Afghanistan and told other members of our military to keep silent about such abuses. "The FBI is widening its probe into a Detroit Muslim who investigators now suspect was conspiring with a Maryland imam to acquire military-grade weapons and commit acts of jihad on behalf of ISIS.
WND reported Aug. 30 on the alleged “arsenal” found at the home of Sebastian Gregerson, a convert to Islam who now goes by the name Abdurrahman Bin Mikaayl.
The Detroit News reported a new twist in the story Thursday, that Gregerson likely did not act alone. He allegedly had help from an imam who specializes in Shariah law. That imam, Suleiman Bengharsa of Clarksburg, Maryland, may have used donations from his mosque to help finance Gregerson’s purchase of grenades, two AK-47s, seven rifles, tactical knives, a shotgun and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

More than 200 pages of sealed federal court records offer new details about an FBI investigation spanning at least three states, the News reported.
The investigation started about 18 months ago but bore fruit on July 31 when Gregerson was arrested near his Detroit home after allegedly buying fragmentation grenades from an undercover FBI agent.
It is unclear whether imam Bengharsa was financing weapons purchases in other parts of the country, but WND sources, including retired Homeland Security officer Philip Haney, say this type of financing involving American mosques happens all the time.
According to Shariah law, one-eighth of all charitable donations at a mosque, called zakat, must go to fund jihad around the world, Haney told WND. And approximately 80 percent of America’s more than 3,000 mosques are financed by Saudi Arabia, perhaps the most Shariah-compliant nation in the world.
“Based on the totality of the aforementioned information and evidence, there is reason to believe that Bengharsa and Gregerson are engaged in discussions and preparations for some violent act on behalf of (the Islamic State),” an FBI agent wrote in a Jan. 7 search warrant application.
The scope, targets and number of people involved in the investigation are unclear, but the case also involves Virginia, according to the Detroit News report.
Imam Bengharsa, 59, laughed and scoffed at the FBI’s allegations, which he told the Detroit newspaper were “ridiculous.” He also denied being an ISIS supporter and dismissed the charges as a witch hunt against Muslims.
“It feels like McCarthyism,” Bengharsa told the newspaper.
“No, no, no, that is absolutely untrue,” Bengharsa added. “It might appear that way. I am an advocate of the United States and the West getting the hell out of the Middle East and the Muslim world.
“It’s ridiculous. All I can say is it’s ridiculous,” he added. “If this was the case, why haven’t they come to arrest me?”
He said he would rather go to jail than live in a country that goes the route of McCarthyism.
Haney said the imam’s comments were brazen.
“People will say, ‘Oh, Sharia doesn’t teach that.’ Well, one-eighth Muslim charitable contributions are obligated according to Shariah to go to the support of jihad, which means if this imam is gathering money up to buy hardware, like grenades and guns, then he’s doing it in accordance with Shariah. And according to the Detroit News article, he’s an expert in Shariah,” said Haney, author of the best-selling book “See Something Say Nothing.”
Promoting Shariah law in U.S.
Bengharsa is founder and director of the Islamic Jurisprudence Center, an independent legal resource center near Baltimore that promotes understanding of Shariah law.
The center has issued several fatwas, or religious edicts, including one calling supporters of the Council on American-Islamic Relations disbelievers and traitors to Allah, the News reports.
“(Islamic Jurisprudence Center) management firmly believes and propagates that Islamic law is divine law, and therefore, unequivocally superior to man-made laws,” according to the center’s website.
“He actually presents himself as a Shariah-compliant imam but he is using taqiyya, a defensive response, when questioned by the newspaper,” Haney told WND. “He responds to the allegations, saying it’s ridiculous, that it feels like McCarthyism, pushing it on us, he’s the victim, an innocent victim, and we are the oppressors.
“It’s a wonderful arrangement,” Haney added, and a favorite tactic of the Muslim Brotherhood. “Victims are never responsible for anything they do. And that’s exactly what the imam’s position is: ‘We’re not at fault, they’re persecuting us, we’re the victims.'”
The imam said “if that’s what this country has come to,” he’d rather be in jail.
“This is how bold they are now,” Haney said. “He’s throwing it in our face that he’d rather go to jail.”
The imam is clearly well schooled in how to deploy classic Islamic deception while living in a non-Islamic society, Haney said.
There’s a passage, Quran 8:60, that Haney points to. It says, “prepare to strongly terrorize your enemy.”
That word “prepare” is also a main tenet of the Brotherhood.
Bengharsa has not been charged with a crime during the investigation, which is ongoing.
“In the real world, evidence matters,” former FBI counter-terrorism specialist John Guandolo told WND.
“Yet another Islamic leader is found to be directly involved with jihad on behalf of some named jihadi group, all for the sake of Islam,” said Guandolo, founder of the website UnderstandingTheThreat.com. “He joins the ranks of Alamoudi, Awlaki, and so many others. And he does it all while laughing at us and throwing ‘McCarthyism’ in our face. Our leaders will probably apologize to him for executing the legal search warrant based on facts.”
Search warrant affidavits that revealed the focus on the imam were briefly unsealed in federal court in Detroit this week and obtained by The News before a federal magistrate resealed them.
The affidavits show that FBI counterterrorism agents have spent months analyzing bank records, social media accounts, phone records, emails and messages involving Gregerson, 29, and the imam.

As WND reported last month, Gregerson is an Islamic State supporter who allegedly told undercover FBI agents that he fantasized about killing local Muslim religious leaders and others.

Gregerson is being held without bond and faces up to 10 years in federal prison if convicted of the weapons charges. He has not been charged with a terror-related crime amid the ongoing investigation.
FBI agents likely are investigating whether the imam bankrolled weapons purchases for anyone else and if there are plans underway for attacks, Peter Henning, a Wayne State University law professor and former federal prosecutor, told the News.
Gregerson grew up near Ann Arbor and converted to Islam after high school. He is married, the father of 4-year-old twins and, until his arrest, worked retail at a Target store.
Gregerson and the imam met about five years ago in Maryland, the FBI alleges.
“Suleiman Bengharsa is the former imam of a mosque Gregerson attended while living in Maryland,” an FBI agent wrote in an affidavit.
Gregerson lived in Windsor Mill, Maryland, from 2011 to 2014.
During that time, Bengharsa was imam at the Masjid Umar mosque in Woodlawn – less than three miles from Gregerson’s apartment – according to the imam’s LinkedIn page, the News reports.
By 2015, Gregerson had moved to Detroit and started amassing tactical knives, according to the FBI.
“(Islamic State) members have used knives that appear similar to those purchased by Gregerson in beheadings, such as those seen in the videos of ‘Jihadi John’ beheading western hostages,” an FBI agent wrote in one search warrant affidavit.
“The nature of Gregerson’s purchases roughly correlate with instructions given by (the Islamic State) to individuals living in Western countries on how to prepare to commit violent jihad in those countries,” the FBI agent wrote in a filing.
The FBI subpoenaed Gregerson’s phone records and learned he was in frequent phone contact with Bengharsa while amassing the arsenal.
Bank records obtained by the FBI showed the imam wrote a $1,300 check to Gregerson on June 24, 2015.
In the memo line on the cheque was the word “zakat,” a word referring to the Muslim obligation to give charity, according to the FBI.
Gregerson cashed the cheque days later and deposited $800 in his checking account, the FBI said.
“This is a very typical event,” Haney told WND. “You see this type of thing going on in many places around the world, where you see Islamic leaders or imams providing leadership, counsel, guidance, to members of the Islamic community. And one of the ways to become a better Muslim is to follow Shariah law.
“Violence is but one part of a spectrum of tactics used explicitly for the implementation of Shariah law; it’s a tactic. What you’re looking at in this story is a tactic for the ultimate implementation of Shariah law.”

"THE 20-year-old suspect in the deadly Washington state mall shooting said nothing and appeared “zombie-like” when he was arrested by authorities nearly 24 hours into an intense manhunt. Island County Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Hawley said he spotted Arcan Cetin from a patrol car on Saturday evening in Oak Harbour, Washington, and immediately recognised him as the suspect who killed five people at the Cascade Mall in nearby Burlington. Arcan Cetin, 20, immigrated to the US from Turkey. He had been arrested once before in the county for assault, Hawley said.
“I literally hit my brakes, did a quick turn, I jumped out,” Hawley said. “We both jumped out with our guns, and he just froze.”
Cetin was unarmed and was carrying a satchel with a computer in it. “He was kind of zombie-like,” Hawley said.
The suspect’s arrest capped a frantic search following the slayings of five people the day before.
The first 911 call came in just before 7pm on a busy Friday local time at the Cascade Mall: A man with a rifle was shooting at people in the Macy’s department store.
By the time police arrived moments later, the carnage at the Macy’s makeup counter was complete. Four people were dead, and the shooter was gone, last seen walking toward Interstate 5. The fifth victim, a man, died in the early morning hours Saturday as police finished sweeping the building.”
