Third Time's The Charm guess the price of Silver to win Titanium contest (Week 2)
... Scientists at Rice University, the National MagLab, Texas A&M University and University of Texas discovered that a new compound, titanium-3-gold (β-Ti3Au), is four times harder when compared to pure titanium, making this new alloy as hard as some steels. In addition to the hardness, researchers learned that this titanium gold compound doesn’t wear out as quickly, meaning there is an extended lifetime of the material. Ttitanium-3-gold is also biocompatible, making it the hardest known biocompatible compound. ... https://nationalmaglab.org/research/pub ... ium-3-gold
Totally awesome stuff, and now I'll feel good about stacking some gold knowing that it's actually good for something besides teeth which I was never a fan of, anyways it couldn't of happened in a better place.
Welcome to week 2; Rules, pics and stuff

Sooo... just to clarify, are we playing for titanium-3-gold (β-Ti3Au) now?

You just had to go and spoil it! I was going to wait until the last minute to guess $19,967,205,000,000.00 as that is the current U.S. national debt (as of this post), but now I'm going to have to guess a serious number for a chance to win. Alright, so be it!

Eh you'll probably win anyway! My luck is notoriously bad.Onsdag wrote: ↑July 27th, 2017, 10:54 amYou just had to go and spoil it! I don't care about winning, per say, I was just hoping to be the only one to guess so that I could say I won by such a huge discrepancy of the actual value. :))iWriteStuff wrote: ↑July 27th, 2017, 10:59 amEh you'll probably win anyway! Silver guessed 16.70, you just couldn't see it. ;)Onsdag wrote: ↑July 27th, 2017, 11:03 amI don't care about winning, per say, I was just hoping to be the only one to guess so that I could say I won by such a huge discrepancy of the actual value. :))iWriteStuff wrote: ↑July 27th, 2017, 10:59 amEh you'll probably win anyway! It was several hours ago. Sorry for not posting the countdown clock. Atisa, or the lack thereof exceeded my frustration level this week. Atiśa ≠ Atisa. Three weeks is the latest prognostication, but will prolly be forever.

Hello, everyone! It's a rainy evening here in the Philippines. ⛈⛈
I know that it is already late for posting the guess bid, but I will post it anyway just for fun. My guess would have been 16.62...
Here is the updated spreadsheet that shows the summary of guesses for week 2.

Good luck, everyone!

Looks like IWS squeaked one out by one-penny over Silver, thereby accruing one bonus-ounce. :ymparty:Aiiivii wrote: ↑July 28th, 2017, 4:50 am Hello, everyone! It's a rainy evening here in the Philippines. ⛈⛈

Good luck, everyone!
Please update your spreadsheet and post an official pic showing the closing bid price and 3 day graph from http://www.kitco.com/charts/livesilver.html
Posting this image will require acquisition of new skills. #-o http://imgbb.com/ works good and you can even scale the image down to size. Individual folders based on image height works well i.e. The OP uses nominal heights of 180 & 240. Feel free to experiment and PM if you need help. You accrue credit for one win for being an awesome keeper of the score.
Half-pennies don't count, only the closing bid price from Kitco in whole pennies.

Thank you BeNotDeceived for introducing me to imgbb. It's easy to use and can be very useful.
The link to spreadsheet is always https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Awesome your perseverance paid off! I made it show by placing the url of the picture between img tags. It's really big, but shows the graph and closing bid box all on the same image. :ymapplause:
Spreadsheet looks great with a mighty magenta box for you and IWS, but your user name really disrupts my keyword searches, to be explained in week 3.
