Silver Contest: Week 1 (of 11)
Hello LDSFF friends,
Tomorrow (17Apr2017) marks the first day you can enter your silver price guess (one per person) to win one (1) ounce of .999 fine silver. I want to get the shiny metal into the hands of more people to increase enthusiasm for an important Constitutional metal, for real money.
Please submit your guesses in this thread, not the introductory thread.
The silver and the freight will be at absolutely no charge to the winners. There are 11 chances to win.
Introduction, rules and comments here:

Good luck!

Just a reminder to everyone to not enter a guess that has already been submitted. Only the first submission counts.

Oh. Lol! I see what you're doing there. It seems I've started a trend.
Funny thing is I didn't even realize my submission rhymed until after reading both of these posts. =))

Friendly Reminder:
It is now 8:25am in Texas. The cut-off time for submitting your guess is today at noon in Texas. What do you think will be the closing price of silver on Friday? Did I mention Texas?
There will be 10 more weekly contests after this one.
Good luck.

See, the problem with waiting is the false sense of security it gives you. You need to get your guesses in early as your first gut feeling is often the right one. You just wait and see - by tomorrow's close it'll be back up to $18.30. :o)

Re: Silver Contest: Week 1 (of 11)
Submitting your guess on this thread should be done early and often, like Democrats voting. Well, don't submit often because that will disqualify you, but you know what I mean.
If you don't win this week, there will be 10 more chances!
Time remaining: 1hr & 41 minutes.

I'll guess $49.51. That is where I wish I would have sold all the silver I had bought at $5 per ounce. :(( Next time I will listen to Jason Bourne more intently.

Of course, the article makes the obligatory mention of the Hunt Brothers. When the market peaked back in the day at $49.40, that amount had much more purchasing power.Mark wrote: ↑April 20th, 2017, 10:04 am I'll guess $49.51. And here, ladies and germs, you find a man who knows what he's about. Thanks for diversifying into precious metals and for teaching your descendants about real money.Mark wrote: ↑April 20th, 2017, 12:17 pm:)) I give out silver dollars to all my kids and grandkids all the time.
