Cooking With What You Have, grocery deals

Post by singyourwayhome »

Hi,

I just self-published a cookbook, The Chameleon Cook: Cooking Well With What You Have. It's designed to be small, cheap ($14), portable, and full of practical information, recipes, and adaptations you may need based on what is- or isn't- in the pantry, as well as changing recipes to not include dairy, eggs, table sugar, or wheat. The recipes do use these as ingredients, but there's a section on how to substitute for these.

You can see more about it here: http://www.theprovidenthomemaker.com/1/ ... -have.html Right now it's only available directly through me, but will soon be in some local stores as well.

My website has a 'deals' page; I like Pinching Your Pennies, but only buy a fraction of the items they list, so I go through the ads myself and type up the items I look for, on my budget. This usually means fresh fruits and vegetables, the cheapest meats, canned basics, long-term storage items, etc. Hopefully it saves someone some time. http://www.theprovidenthomemaker.com/deals.html
