I was pleasantly surprised. Brother Romney was not mentioned in anyone's testimonies - and many beautiful and powerful testimonies were borne.

Re: Fast and Testimony (of Mitt Romney) meeting
Our conductor gave a little speech about testimonies being about the gospel and not "upcoming decision that can evoke a lot of emotion" or something like that. So we had no Mitt references.

No Mitt references here in Spring City. Great meeting; my daughter (one of our 4) bore her testimony and did well.

Nothing happened in my ward this week. Just the hiccup from 5 weeks ago or so.

Re: Fast and Testimony (of Mitt Romney) meeting
My daughter pulled a pen out of my jacket and got black ink on my shirt, then my son took my wife's pen and hit my hand and my shirt. I went home to change after realizing the ink had traveled through both layers. I didn't get the joy of listening in on fast and testimony meeting, though I did fast that the winner of the election would be willing to seek the Lord's input in his choices.

Re: Fast and Testimony (of Mitt Romney) meeting
I live in Virginia and no mention of Mitt Romney in our testimony meeting either. We did however have one gentleman testify that secret combinations have taken control of our government and that he was not voting for either candidate because he refused to vote for evil. I rather enjoyed his testimony to be quite honest but It was amazing to see how many eyes began to roll ...

Re: Fast and Testimony (of Mitt Romney) meeting
No mention in our Iowa ward of the elections or any candidate at all in F & T meeting yesterday. Not even a reminder to vote (nor did they read the usual First Presidency letter about it).
However, after the block, my family and I were chatting with a newly returned missionary in the hall, and our home teacher (who is also the 1st counselor in the stake presidency) came over to us and said, "I noticed you don't have a Romney sign in your yard; do you want me to bring one over to you today? You're on a corner and you really should have several." He was being very forceful, even slightly aggressive in his manner and tone. I didn't respond at all, lest I may have said something to get me booted right out of the church, lol. My husband dealt with it very tactfully (and no, we still don't have a Romney sign in our yard ).
Then this morning, our son came home from seminary and said their teacher went on and on about Romney; how the kids must make sure all their parents vote for him tomorrow; and do any of them need signs for their yards, etc...

If Willard wins, December F & T meeting should be a doozy. Bring your popcorn and soda and enjoy. Oh baby!!

Re: Fast and Testimony (of Mitt Romney) meeting
No mention of Romney in our ward either, but there never has been that I can remember.
I attended a fireside last night with a guest speaker physicist who spoke a bit about fusion (topic was science and religion). One of the questions kinda jokingly asked at the end of the meeting was who he thought would win the elections. He said he (he's about 80 yrs old) used to be democrat, then was a republican and now he's a democrat. Other than that there's been nothing at church about the elections, but then I've served either in the primary or nursery for the last 3+ yrs minus a short stint in the SS presidency so I have no idea whats being said in gospel doctrine or priesthood.

Re: Fast and Testimony (of Mitt Romney) meeting
I heard that "I don't think Obama is an Evil man" ... I had to bite my tongue.
Tells falsehoods about being allegedly homosexual and his two former lovers where killed within 6 weeks of each other and the cases were never solved.
Tells America that he is a Christian when in fact he is a Muslim.
Passes all kinds of executive orders that are illegal and ushers in the biggest socialist system the USA has even known.
Tell his supports to vote for revenge by voting for him. Stick it to the white man.
Tells the Russians that he will have more LEEWAY after the election to remove more defense missiles out of Eastern Europe to weaken our defenses again.
no he's not evil.

Re: Fast and Testimony (of Mitt Romney) meeting
We split our stake. We had F&T the week before. A couple of folks bore their testimonies of sacredness of the Constitution. I declared mine about the Plan of Salvation and the Atonement and my newfound appreciation of the Lord's sacrifice in the Garden of Gethsemane for my sins and having bled from every pore after watching my father's pain and suffering and eventually dying doing something similar to that (bleeding everywhere from the erupting melanomas) from his cancer.
I have to bite my tongue when folks say we are living in peace, freedom and liberty in this great land from the pulpit. I guess they forget that we are at war and being overrun by those who wish to replace the Constitution with Sharia Law and have not read the Executive Orders that bypass the other two checks and balances of government.
