You cannot do that without Private Property. That's why God is the champion of Liberty i.e. Private Property!

Ron Paul appears to have Won majority of Missouri's delegates!

"Early results from Missouri's caucuses this weekend show that the long-shot libertarian candidate is significantly outperforming his rivals in the race for delegates. Senior campaign advisors tell Business Insider that Paul appears to have picked up the majority of Missouri's delegates, despite having lost the state's nonbinding primary to Rick Santorum."

OK, I was wrong. I was thinking you were talking about the primary and the delegates. It confuses me. The confusing system is a result of a fight between the RNC and the states. When Florida decided last year to move its primary up to Jan. 31, it created a rush of date changes by states that wanted to stay relevant in the nomination process. Missouri was one of them. In May 2011, the Missouri legislature changed state law, mandating that the primary be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of February, which is Feb. 7 this year.

But the RNC wanted to preserve the traditional primary calendar, telling states that they would lose half of their delegates in the final count if they moved their primaries ahead of March 6.

Stuck between state law and the national party, Missouri Republicans attempted to split the difference. Because the primary was legally necessary, they left the February contest in place. But to satisfy the RNC and avoid penalties, they moved the actual delegate selection to a newly created March caucus.

Police and organizers shut down proceedings at one of Missouri’s largest caucuses today, as Ron Paul supporters feuded with local GOP leaders.

“It’s like the Hatfields and the McCoys around here,” St. Charles County’s former GOP chairman told ABC News, after police arrived on-scene with a helicopter and removed Paul backers.

In St. Charles, an exurb of St. Louis and one of the state’s largest GOP counties, Paul supporters sought to elect their own chairman and adopt their own rules when proceedings opened — both of which are part of standard caucus rules and procedure. But as they argued with the caucus chair, Paul supporters held video cameras — against caucus rules, according to a GOP official who was there — and things became contentious.

“It turned into a little food fight within the caucus, between the caucus chairman trying to control the caucus and certain elements, I guess with Ron Paul, trying to be heard,” said Tom Kipers, a former chairman of the St. Charles GOP, who attended the caucus at Francis Howell North High School.

An off-duty police officer, hired as security, eventually filed a trespassing complaint against the Paul supporters and notified on-duty police in the area municipality of St. Peters, who, along with police from other jurisdictions, arrested two Paul supporters and ended the caucuses early. A joint-jurisdictional police helicopter arrived on the scene. Kipers said about 10 officers arrived in total.

“Two people were arrested for trespassing after receiving numerous warnings to leave the school property,” the St. Peters police said in a press release. “Both subjects were transported to St. Peters Justice Center where they were booked for Trespassing and released on a summons.”

The St. Peters police identified the Paul supporters as Brent Safford, 45, of O’Fallon, Mo., and Kenneth Suitter, 55, of St. Charles.

Ron Paul supporters dominate GOP caucus in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS • Supporters of presidential candidate Ron Paul dominated the Republican caucus in St. Louis on Saturday with a majority-vote victory over two other slates backing other Republican nominee hopefuls.

The slate backing Paul cast 158 votes in the non-binding caucus Saturday. The purpose was to choose representatives to a round of Congressional district meetings in April and June that will repeat the process to send 52 delegates from Missouri to the August convention in Tampa, Fla.

The slate that primarily backed Santorum had 74 votes, while the Romney slate mustered 50 votes.

Some 300 people packed the cafeteria at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park for today's caucus. Each caucus is run like a mini-convention, with participants electing a chairman and voting on rules, which determine if delegates are selected individually or in a slate, if they are bound to a particular candidate, or if they move forward uncommitted.

Paul, a Texas Republican with a fierce libertarian streak, has polled low nationally but he has been able to pick up delegates thanks to scattered successes in states, like Missouri, using the caucus system.

Most of Missouri's 142 caucus gatherings were held March 17, but St. Louis and Jackson County, which includes Kansas City, were given special permission to hold them this weekend, so as not to interfere with last week's St. Patrick's Day's events. Official results will not be known until next month.

A caucus vote was also being held today in Jackson County.

-Jake Wagman of the Post-Dispatch contributed to this report.

I'm glad you stick to your guns, LIT. I've found I generally agree on most positions you present.

As to the offended schoolgirl, I've always been interested in people who barge into a conversation (or start one) taking a strong stance, then take personal offense at anyone who disagrees with them and quickly turn nasty in their replies. What exactly are their thought processes? I can understand if it's a topic they feel very strongly about, enough so that they feel an attack on something they care about is an attack on them, but what about the person who takes offense at EVERYTHING?

I usually try to give the person the benefit of the doubt, but it's hard not to think of the behavior as some kind of trolling.

Fairminded...first of all, you don't BARGE into a conversation on a conversation forum. Anybody can give their opinion regardless of the length or duration. AND, all I do is try to stand up for myself, like now. LIT is combative. I realized I was getting nowhere so I quit.
I don't take offense at everything. Which brings me to your problem. Why are you taking offense? I don't need your benefit of a doubt.

Juliette, feel free to "barge in" at any time, but please bring reason, logic and sound principles with you when you do, instead of name calling and blanket unsubstantiated statements without a shred of proof, which you have done over and over again!

Fairminded, thanks for your support! I enjoy your well reasoned posts.

Ron Paul speaks with FOX 5 News

Ron Paul is the only reasonable and sane person among all the clowns running as candidates now!
Americans truly deserve the debacle that is coming to them if they don't vote for him! They deserve the government they get because they are so eternally stupid and wouldn't know liberty if it hit them in the face! Thus they deserve what they get!

But Liberty will win, as God lives!
