Tinnitus help
My sister was recently diagnosed with tinnitus, constant ringing in the ears. It is extremely invasive, like having a dentist drill sound in your head all day and night. The noise is so disturbing she can't hear her 4 month old baby crying at night. She is willing to try anything. Anyone else suffer from this? Heard of something that helps?

Re: Tinnitus help
Chiropractic comes to mind. I have no idea if it would help, but it relieves pressure in the ear and opens things up. It works miracles on ear infections.

Re: Tinnitus help
Tinnitus is a symptom, and can be associated with several disease processes. Treatment would determined by the cause.

Re: Tinnitus help
I suffered from tinnitus for quite a while a few years ago. It bothered me the most at night. It went away on its own when I moved to Utah, gave up the diet soda, and started to eat healthier. I also found that taking Ibuprophen made it much worse.

Re: Tinnitus help
You can get the same effect by without knowing any mystical Energy healing techniques by doing the following:Kitkat wrote:How is this done? How long did you have tinnitus? Thanks!JohnnyL wrote:Energy healing/ EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) (at least it worked for mine).
1) take an empty gel cap
2) fill it with sugar
3) take once before bed and simply believe that it will heal you
But seriously, I second looking at diet and reducing things that can inflame the body like refined sugars / flours etc. Most health issues come down to digestive issues that you can fix by establishing good flora in the gut and repairing damage to intestinal walls. Things like lots of broth, boiled/ steamed vegetables / boiled meat, good fats and lacto-fermented vegetables and their juices. Bubbies makes some good relish and sauerkraut and there's a bunch of others.

Thanks for letting us in on this knowledge. I assume you have tried both techniques and found them equally helpful....nvr wrote:You can get the same effect by without knowing any mystical Energy healing techniques by doing the following:Kitkat wrote:How is this done? I went from a place of about 1,000 ft above sea level to one that was over 4,000 ft. I believe, the aspartame in the diet soda was causing neurological problems also. It can also be a sign of high blood pressure.Kitkat wrote:Do you think the altitude change helped? Generally ENT doctors. If you want a specialist, I'd find a neurotologist.Kitkat wrote:Who diagnoses stuff like this?commonwealth wrote:Tinnitus is a symptom, and can be associated with several disease processes. Treatment would determined by the cause.

I have tinnitus. I gave it to myself by driving heavy machinery without hearing protection. Ahhh the folly of youth.

I had tinnitus for a while, maybe a few years. It wasn't really heavy like as being described in the OP, but it was enough to bother me often.
I don't remember how long it took, I guess less than an hour.
P.S. Don't take the sugar... ;)

Come now, Johnny. You don't doubt nvr, do you? Surely no one would go on a public forum and state something authoritatively that they didn't know for certain was true, would they?

Re: Tinnitus help
Sorry for any confusion to whoever's reading, I was literally describing making a placebo pill. Placebo effect is the only benefit I believe anyone could ever derive from 'energy' healing. You get the same benefits (none) for almost no money without appealing to spiritual 'helpers' and whatever else baggage comes with energy healing.

Re: Tinnitus help
I understand the point you were making. But I would imagine that you haven't tried either one of the two methods for any of your issues. Many on this forum have tried energy healing. They are probably more qualified to share on the topic than you are.nvr wrote:Sorry for any confusion to whoever's reading, I was literally describing making a placebo pill. If I am wrong and you do have experience, then I invite you to share.

Re: Tinnitus help
I have tried this teaching (guided by the spirit), and found it to work on so many levels it makes me start to wonder greatly about our traditions of healing... vs faith and the touch of virtue healing (I've been healed by both).nvr wrote:Sorry for any confusion to whoever's reading, I was literally describing making a placebo pill. I would 2nd all the removal of sugar ideas, and finding natures natural diets and ways God intended it to be has restored so much for myself, physic, and problems ranging from dental to back pain have become so less apparent in doing so, despite my being very good at hygiene, dental cleansing, etc.Simple Steps to Healing: Ho'oponopono

Two years ago, I heard about a therapist in Hawaii who cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients – without ever seeing any of them. The psychologist would study an inmate's chart and then look within himself to see how he created that person's illness. As he improved himself, the patient improved.
Fake sugars and unnatural dyes set off my aunt's MS like you would not believe, suggesting they are poisons to the body.

Re: Tinnitus help
Being close to KitKat myself, we are hoping and exersizing in faith that she is healed period. If we have the truth, and all are to be healed unless appointed unto death, it seems it is a matter of unbelief (believing in healing procedures that are not correct?) on differing levels. I am personally looking to Christ's examples of virtue leaving him (perceived mostly by Luke the physician it seems), and those of his disciples walking and healing many simply by their shadow passing upon the sick who were laid in the streets - suggesting the doctrine of the priesthood distilled upon their souls per their virtuous lives. Virtue is a power that has healed me through just the touch and brought a comfort to my soul I know of nothing else coming close to.

Re: Tinnitus help
What exactly is the sound? A dental drill? Does she remember when it started? If so, what was going on in her life? Was there a stress or somebody she didn't want to listen to?Kitkat wrote:My sister was recently diagnosed with tinnitus, constant ringing in the ears. I had it, I recognized the sound of a cicada. Why a cicada? I was verbally attacked by somebody while there was a cicada nearby singing away. When I put the two together my tinnitus improved to where I really don't notice it. But it took me years to realize it was the sound of a cicada.
I also have some hearing loss in my left ear, the same HZ range as the voice of my ex-wife.

Re: Tinnitus help
She hears all kinds of sounds, crickets, hands clapping, dentist drills. She remembers her toddler screaming in her ears right before it happened. Sometimes the sounds she heard during the day will come back replayed endlessly with amazing accuracy. I will pass your thoughts on to here! Thanks for sharing everyone.Torquemada wrote:What exactly is the sound? A dental drill? Does she remember when it started? If so, what was going on in her life? Re: Tinnitus help
Interesting. I knew two men on my mission who were almost deaf but they had an amazing ability to hear and understand their wives. One heard his wife in a room where several people were all speaking loudly at once. His wife was sitting several feet away at an angle he couldn't see from where he was standing and she was talking in a normal voice.Torquemada wrote:What exactly is the sound? A dental drill? Re: Tinnitus help
There is a website mynoise.net that has therapeutic sounds that might help. I personally use that website for relaxing sounds to keep me stay focused while I do school work. Some of the sounds they feature on that site are supposed to help with tinnitis. I don't know how reliable it is, but she could try it.Kitkat wrote:My sister was recently diagnosed with tinnitus, constant ringing in the ears.
