Ginger Honey Lemon Tea

Post by cyclOps »

Have to share this only because it has been a great soothing remedy for my sore throat the past few days. In my circle it is somewhat common knowledge, but it may benefit some of you.

1 cup boiling water
1 inch grated ginger root
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Add ginger to boiling water, remove from heat, and let steep for 3 minutes. Strain out ginger, add honey and lemon. Enjoy.

Obviously you can adjust proportions and ingredients based on your taste preference. Too much ginger is spicy, but does soothe your throat and open sinuses if you can handle it.

The Chinese way: ginger + brown sugar, served very warm.

Probably not as healthy, lol, but it sure tastes good. ;)
