"Study: Women Store DNA From Every Male They Have Sex With"
"Male DNA found in women's brains cause concern
A new study by the University of Seattle and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center has revealed that Women absorb and retain living DNA of every single man they have sex with....
For thousands of years, a woman’s purity was cherished above all else when it came to creating a family. Now the scientific community is confirming the validity of that practice. Until the science is settled, men who insist on reproducing with a promiscuous woman should at least demand to interview her previous sexual partners so he can become familiar with the men whose genes may be passed on to his future children.

Re: "Study: Women Store DNA From Every Male They Have Sex With"
While they may indeed keep some of the DNA, it does not follow that any of that DNA will be incorporated into the female egg and thus into the woman's offspring. Unlike the male sperm which is produced by the body as needed. A woman is born with all the eggs she will ever have. They are then delivered through ovulation once every 28 or so days from the time she becomes sexually mature (between 10-12 in most cases) until menopause ends ovulation. Given this fact is is hard to see how a case can be made that any DNA from previous sexual partners is going to be a factor in any children a woman would produce. If such were the case DNA testing to verify who the father of a child was would not be a reliable method.sushi_chef wrote: ↑June 27th, 2017, 3:24 am "Male DNA found in women's brains cause concern

Re: "Study: Women Store DNA From Every Male They Have Sex With"
Read the study. It doesn't warrant any of the conclusions in the article.
The article purports to be reporting on a "new" study by the University of Seattle and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer center. (First of all it's the University of Washington, but as we'll see the article isn't overly concerned with accuracy.) The "new" study was conducted in 2012, but the study linked in the article is one from 2005.
Read the abstracts and you'll see why. The 2005 study mentions that while male microchimerism was normally observed in mothers of sons, it had been discovered in some women who had never given birth to sons. In its conclusion, sexual intercourse is mentioned as one possible source of this male DNA in the female brain, along with several other possibilities.
The 2012 study (the one the article is actually reporting on) never even mentions sexual intercourse as a possible source for male microchimerism in females at all.

Nowhere does the 2005 study come anywhere close to stating that that women "store DNA from every male they have sex with." In fact it states that the DNA in question was only found in 21% of females overall. All it's saying is that while we know that most of this male DNA comes from male offspring, not all of it is accounted for, so some of it must be coming from somewhere else, as yet we don't know.Male microchimerism was not infrequent in women without sons. Besides known pregnancies, other possible sources of male microchimerism include unrecognized spontaneous abortion, vanished male twin, an older brother transferred by the maternal circulation, or sexual intercourse. Further studies are needed to determine specific origins of male microchimerism in women.
The 2012 study (the one the article is actually reporting on) never even mentions sexual intercourse as a possible source for male microchimerism in females at all.
It looks like someone took one speculative line from the 2005 study and made it the basis for an entire article on a different study, which turned out to be nothing more than a pretext for its anti-promiscuity spiel. The most likely source of male Mc in female brain is acquisition of fetal Mc from pregnancy with a male fetus. In women without sons, male DNA can also be acquired from an abortion or a miscarriage. The pregnancy history was unknown for all but a few subjects in the current studies, thus male Mc in female brain could not be evaluated according to specific prior pregnancy history. In addition to prior pregnancies, male Mc could be acquired by a female from a recognized or vanished male twin, an older male sibling, or through non-irradiated blood transfusion.

Re: "Study: Women Store DNA From Every Male They Have Sex With"
"Newly discovered non-genetic mechanisms break the link between genes and inheritance, thereby also raising the possibility that previous mating partners could influence traits in offspring sired by subsequent males that mate with the same female (‘telegony’). In the fly Telostylinus angusticollis, males transmit their environmentally acquired condition via paternal effects on offspring body size. We manipulated male condition, and mated females to two males in high or low condition in a fully crossed design. Although the second male sired a large majority of offspring, offspring body size was influenced by the condition of the first male. This effect was not observed when females were exposed to the first male without mating, implicating semen-mediated effects rather than female differential allocation based on pre-mating assessment of male quality. Our results reveal a novel type of transgenerational effect with potential implications for the evolution of reproductive strategies.

Prof Bonduriansky said: ‘It is pretty clear now seminal fluid is packed with paternal RNA. And this would be in humans, mice, fruit flies and nematode worms at least.’
He added: ‘In some systems, mostly nematodes and mice, there is evidence these RNAs can play a role in early embryonic development.
‘But the jury is still out on exactly what effects these molecules have.’

Kind of weird. But I ask what's the point of the research? What if any effects are there?

Re: "Study: Women Store DNA From Every Male They Have Sex With"
possibly for reasearches interest?!
"The theory, expounded as natural history by Aristotle, was accepted throughout Antiquity. The concept of telegonic impregnation was expressed in Greek mythology in the origins of their heroes.[citation needed] Such double fatherhood, one immortal, one mortal, was a familiar feature of heroes such as Theseus, who was doubly conceived in the same night. By the understanding of sex in Antiquity, the mix of semen gave Theseus a combination of divine as well as mortal characteristics. Of a supposed Parnassos, founder of Delphi, Pausanias[4] observes, "Like the other heroes, as they are called, he had two fathers; one they say was the god Poseidon, the human father being Cleopompus." Sometimes the result could be twins such as Castor and Pollux, one born divine and one mortal.
The more general doctrine of "maternal impressions" was also known in Ancient Israel. The book of Genesis describes Jacob inducing goats and sheep in Laban's herds to bear striped and spotted young by placing dark wooden rods with white stripes in their watering troughs.[5] Telegony influenced early Christianity as well. The Gnostic followers of Valentinius (circa 100-160 CE) characteristically took the concept from the physiological world into the realm of psychology and spirituality by extending the supposed influence even to the thoughts of the woman.
....
Telegony re-emerged within post-Soviet Russian Orthodoxy. Virginity and Telegony: The Orthodox church and modern science of genetic inversions was published in 2004. Pravda.ru gave an overview of the concept and a brief review of the book, saying that the authors invented "scary and incredible stories" to "make women be very careful about their sexual contacts" and that the idea was being used by the Church to scare the faithful.[21] Anna Kuznetsova, who was appointed Children's Rights Commissioner for the Russian Federation in 2016, had said several years earlier that she believes in the concept, amongst other fringe views. The founding editor of the business newspaper Vedomosti[22] interpreted the appointment of someone with such views as a sign that Russian President Vladimir Putin was becoming more ideological.[23]

along with this, wonderful semen effect : morning sickness remedy.
"Morning sickness. Crackers, soup, ginger ale. Semen. Believe it or not, these are all things that can help you keep your morning sickness at bay. According to Your Tango, researchers at the State University of New York, the semen of the person who got you pregnant will cure your morning sickness
Foreign material. Ironically however, the semen of the person who didn’t get you pregnant will have the reverse effect, and could make your morning sickness worse. According to psychologist Gordon Gallup, this is because the baby is “made up of foreign material” that’s contributing to your nausea, reports Your Tango.http://www.rebelcircus.com/blog/pregnan ... udy-finds/
