Florida goes under caused by an agitated and crazed plumber by sticking a garden hose in his kitchen sink hole.

Holy Cow! I'm glad that one car on the right finally moved off the road so that the car next to the sinkhole could get away before it got even bigger.

Re: Man disappears in Florida Sinkhole
I wonder if there was a broken water main or an underground stream since water is seen in the bottom. A full screen button is on the website for a closer view. Either way, it must be scary to be next to a hole growing in size before one's eyes.Silver Pie wrote: ↑March 31st, 2017, 7:49 pmHoly Cow! How could you find it? Are there any clues in the place where you got the picture from?

As I researched I found It is located in Portugal. It is a spillway for the water to run through a tunnel to another dam. 40°21'50.10"N 7°36'39.26"WSilver Pie wrote: ↑April 1st, 2017, 9:49 pm How could you find it? Are there any clues in the place where you got the picture from?

An entire family disappeared in a sinkhole and all attempts made for rescuing them have failed. Now friends. neighbors and people all over mourn the loss of the hole family.

A man's sinkhole disappears causing people in Florida to wonder where the smell is coming from.

That literally made me laugh out loud (even though I don't quite understand it, and suspect that I do not want it explained).

So, cloning of an Ice Age Siberian cave lion and of a woolly mammoth are in the works (these articles are about the lion cubs (but the mammoth is mentioned), and seem to say pretty much the same thing. The first is dated 2 days earlier than the second).

I've been watching Weird Wonders of the World on Netflix. Season one, episode 8, had a large hole in the ground in it, but they said it wasn't a sinkhole. I thought of you when I watched it.
Season 2, episode 1 talks about the lion cubs. It's a very interesting series and, where possible, scientific explanations are given for unusual things.

I'm glad they don't explain why in some areas of the country birds fly upside down.Silver Pie wrote: ↑April 29th, 2017, 3:19 pm So, cloning of an Ice Age Siberian cave lion and of a woolly mammoth are in the works (these articles are about the lion cubs (but the mammoth is mentioned), and seem to say pretty much the same thing. Or what it is so appealing, that any humans could be enticed to sit around a cesspool holding straws.

Could be interesting, though, to find out why. Especially about the birds.
