Man disappears in Florida Sinkhole

News flash. Residents and visitors in and around Florida's Disney World claim they cannot see the sky for miles and miles. After much debate, scientists now believe it is due to a tremendously, enormous hole hovering over the land. But that is not the worst of it. It is also claimed that the human form of a man is flying around in all directions within the hole, flailing his arms with every pass overhead and screaming help!, help!. Seems the massive hole is made up of a vacuum with the man trapped inside, bouncing every which way back and forth.
After a couple of days some sandwiches were shot into the hole and it took several hours for the man to finally get some food down his neck. This was accomplished only after peeling it off of his face and shoulders because of the impact. Water filled balloons were also shot into the hole and the only way the man could get water was to wait until he hit head on into the balloons and swallow what water he could get when the balloon exploded on his face. It must have been very difficult to swallow chunks of balloon in the process.
Scientists say the hole will eventually dissipate and the man will fall to the earth. They hope he will fall into a swamp or lake to have any chance of survival. How he even got in the hole is still a mystery.

If you want to change the wording here and there or rewrite a sentence for better emphasis...go for it.

It reminds me of that Beatles cartoon, the Yellow Submarine, where they went to a land where holes were everywhere and one of them picked one up and put it into his pocket. When they were held prisoner (in a bottle? I forget), the guy took the hole out of his pocket and put it on the glass (?). Thus, they escaped.

I'm a visual person, so I may find more humor in what I write due to this. I see in my mind's eye what others may not see at all. It is difficult to put on paper exact details so others can see what the writer intends for them to see.

I wonder if there was a broken water main or an underground stream since water is seen in the bottom. A full screen button is on the website for a closer view. Either way, it must be scary to be next to a hole growing in size before one's eyes.

An entire family disappeared in a sinkhole and all attempts made for rescuing them have failed. Now friends. neighbors and people all over mourn the loss of the hole family.
