US debt going is parabolic, as is record high political polarization. The polarization shown on the chart really amounts to squat in terms of the bottom line. Presidente Zero throws his latest campaign piece of meat (a “budget”) out for the Republican to go into a dizzle fit over. Great theater for mainstream media talking heads, but if you want to know what this will mean in due course, look at Greece, and multiple the effect 30 fold.

...polarization is a tool. Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Obama, etc etc etc (funded by the same people) are all tools to help polarize the people and focus them in on each other rather than the real culprits. Its as evident on this forum as it is everywhere else. There has been pretty much zero difference between the last 9 presidents of the United States in terms of foreign policy and aiding and abetting "the enemy". Prior to the disruption that was terminated before them.....you can go back another 7 with only minor disputations between them under the same progressive trend towards growing central power of government as well as the undermining of that same government (principles & power) while aiding and abetting "the enemy".

It is official. State and federal governments have condoned forgery, perjury and fraud in what’s been called the “robo-signing” foreclosure debacle. Last week, the five biggest banks in America signed on to a $26 billion deal that, basically, lets them off with a slap on the wrist for fraudulently foreclosing on homes in the last few years. I am not going to go on and on about how unfair and unjust this deal was or how the rule of law has been thrown down the stairs. I am going to focus on the fallout of this morally corrupt deal.

There is $700 billion in negative home equity with nearly half (11 million) of all houses underwater. Meaning, more is owed on the mortgage than the home is worth. This settlement may help a few folks, but it is a drop in an ocean of debt. Now that the deal is done, look for the pace of foreclosures to pick up speed and home values to take another cliff dive. If you thought the negative equity problem was at the bottom–forget it. The plunge in real estate prices is far from over, and it’s not going to turn positive anytime soon. Consider the latest Case-Shiller report where year-over-year declines in home values averaged 3.7% nationwide. This is despite 30-year mortgage rates at or below 4% and a big slowdown in foreclosures because federal and state governments were negotiating a deal for the past 16 months.

Banks are desperate for cash, and they are going to unlock all they can as fast as they can. After all, people can’t live in a house forever without paying. The banks are not going to enter a new age of morality when they just got a “get out of jail free” card from prosecutors. Rolling Stone’s Matt Taibbi wrote last week, “The only acceptable foreclosure deal had to bring about a complete end to robosigning and the other similar corrupt practices that grew up around it (like for instance gutter service, the practice of process servers simply signing affidavits saying they delivered summonses, instead of really doing it). But this deal not only doesn’t end robosigning, it officially makes getting caught for it inexpensive.”

A Top Secret Security Clearance was brought up in Steve Job’s FBI report detailing when it was and when it was terminated. The top secret clearance for Mr. Jobs started in 1988 and was canceled in 1990. Steve Jobs was working at Pixar in the same time as the top secret clearance and was listed as his employer. Gawker.com had sources contact them and said, “A source who worked with Jobs emailed to say “several people had security clearances at Pixar since, in the early days, they were selling an image rendering software system that could be used to enhance satellite surveillance photographs and film.”

Tropical Cyclone Giovanna powered ashore along the east coast of Madagascar as a destructive Category 3 storm with 125 - 130 mph winds at 22 UTC last night. Winds at the coastal city of Tamatave, 70 miles north-northeast of where the center came ashore, peaked at 52 mph, gusting to 71 mph. Giovanna is moving west across the island at 17 mph, and passed just south of the capital of Antananarivo as a Category 1 storm at 8 am local time Tuesday morning. The eyewall missed Antananarivo , and the peak winds in the city were 38 mph, gusting to 55 mph. Microwave satellite imagery from the Navy Research Lab in Monterrey showed that Giovanna had rainfall rates of up to one inch per hour at landfall, and it is likely that the storm dumped 5 - 10 inches of rain along much of its path. The heaviest rains fell on deforested mountain slopes that drain into some of the most densely populated regions on the island, so major flood damage is likely. Heavy wind and storm surge damage undoubtedly occurred where the core of the storm hit the island, as well.

Axe the employee not truly vested yet in the gov retirement fund and you axe that 50K liability AND that 1.3 million liability set aside to honor those tickets to ride equity that they built and stashed into the fund balance over years. Gives them the ability to pull most of that 1.3M and use it elsewhere and no one is the wiser (except those who just read what was said here).

There is a very scary point here: If millions of the elderly died off from some "new" virus or war / economic collapse that caused the death of those 55+ elderly, there goes trillions of dollars of liability payments for government and government "keeps" the liability investment funds stashed away that ware intended to meet that liability. Gives the meaning of intent and motive to release a genetically modified virus that targets the elderly and medical health care policy that kills off the elderly over saving them.

Get it?

Those local government and federal bureaucrats sure are. Per the local government employees, bilk the taxpayer and gov employee during expansion times when hiring and do the same during economic retractions when laying off. It is all about covert wealth transfer.

Beirut River mysteriously runs blood red

BEIRUT: The Beirut River mysteriously turned blood red Wednesday after a stream of unidentified red liquid began pouring from the southern bank of the river in Furn al-Shubbak. The source of the liquid had yet to be determined Wednesday evening, as the river continued to empty the red-colored water into the Mediterranean Sea.

Government and local officials rushed to the scene at the Chevrolet crossing of Furn al-Shubbak Wednesday morning in an attempt to locate the sewage canal that was dumping the red-colored water but they were unable to locate the source. Accusations were traded among officials from the municipalities of Hadath, Hazmieh, Sin al-Fil, Furn al-Shubbak and Shiyah.

I know countless #'s of young people, mainly in the 25-35 age range that have gone back to school. Most lost jobs or were struggling financially, and decided to go back to school. Now, first, I must say that I think an education is a good thing. But when I see people living off of student loans and acquiring massive debts to pay the bills while in school, it scares me for them. I have student loans myself, so I am not condemning them. But whereas the federal government has 100% control of these loans, I can't help but wonder what satan has up his sleeve with this!

The reason that housing prices have dipped only 33.6 percent in the United States instead of 60 percent as they have in Ireland, is because the big banks have been keeping inventory off the market. If the millions of homes–that are presently headed for foreclosure–were suddenly dumped onto the market, prices would plunge and the biggest banks in the country would be declared insolvent. That’s why the banks have slowed the flow of foreclosures. According to Amherst Securities Group’s Laurie Goodman, “….2.8 million borrowers haven’t made a payment in over a year. The violent tornado rampage killed 39 and injured hundreds more, wreaking property damage that will likely exceed $1 billion. Hardest hit were Kentucky and Southern Indiana, which suffered 21 and 13 dead, respectively. Three were killed in Ohio, and one each in Alabama and Georgia. The scale of the outbreak was enormous, with a preliminary total of 117 tornadoes touching down in eleven states, from southern Ohio to Northern Florida. The National Weather Service issued 297 tornado warnings and 388 severe thunderstorm warnings. At one point, 31 separate tornado warnings were in effect during the outbreak, and an area larger than Nebraska--81,000 square miles--received tornado warnings. Tornado watches were posted for 300,000 square miles--an area larger than Texas.

A long duration and major X1.1 solar flare peaked at 04:09 UTC Monday morning around Sunspot 1429. A strong R3 Level Radio Blackout resulted. A bright Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) is now seen in the latest STEREO Behind and Lasco images. The expanding plasma cloud is mostly heading towards the north and east, however a small portion looks to be Earth directed. This is the 10th largest solar flare of the current Sunspot Cycle and it also happens to be the 10th X-Class flare as well.

Thank you for the update SmallFarm!!!
Incoming! The new WSA-Enlil Solar Wind Prediction is calling for a direct CME impact during the middle of tomorrow (March 8). The solar wind is expected to increase to over 800 km/s and Strong Geomagnetic Storming will be possible. This plasma cloud is the result of the X5.4 and X1.3 Solar Flare event very early this morning. in the new movie below, you can see that the plasma cloud is Full_Halo and heading this way.
http://www.solarham.com/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Extends Warning #343. Watch (43): Geomagnetic A-index of 50 or greater predicted NOAA Scale: Periods reaching the G3 (Strong) Level Likely Valid for UTC Day: 2012 Mar 08 Potential Impacts: Area of impact primarily poleward of 50 degrees Geomagnetic Latitude. Induced Currents - Power system voltage irregularities possible, false alarms may be triggered on some protection devices. Spacecraft - Systems may experience surface charging; increased drag on low Earth-orbit satellites and orientation problems may occur. Navigation - Intermittent satellite navigation (GPS) problems, including loss-of-lock and increased range error may occur. Radio - HF (high frequency) radio may be intermittent. Aurora - Aurora may be seen as low as Pennsylvania to Iowa to Oregon.

Comment from the SIDC (RWC Belgium): Catania sunspot group 65 (NOAA AR 1429) continues to grow and now has beta-gamma-delta configuration of its photospheric magnetic field. Another major flare from this active region is possible, most probably not earlier than tomorrow. Due to the Catania sunspot group 65 (NOAA AR 1429) approach to the solar central meridian, another Earth-directed CME and SEP release will be probable. The X5.4 flare this morning was accompanied by a full halo CME first appearing in the LASCO C2 field of view at 00:24 UT. The CME speed was around 2300 km/s. We expect the arrival of the corresponding ICME at the Earth tomorrow, most probably in the evening. At least a strong (K = 7) geomagnetic storm will be possible. The SEP flux continues to increase, with the proton flux at energies above 100 MeV crossing the SEP event threshold (10 pfu) around 10 UT today. We expect the proton flux to remain elevated at least until the arrival of the CME-driven shock tomorrow evening and possibly after that. SOHO/CELIAS and ACE confirm the detection of the interplanetary shock wave that arrived at 03:35 UT today. This shock wave was most probably associated with the halo CME erupted on March 4. The plasma measurements by ACE are now corrupted by the on-going major SEP event. The Earth is currently inside the post-shock solar wind flow with moderate speed (around 420 km/s) and elevated (around 15 nT) interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) magnitude. The north-south IMF component Bz is currently fluctuating near zero, but had extended intervals of negative values in the recent hours. A geomagnetic storm resulted despite the moderate solar wind speeds: K = 6 was reported by NOAA and K = 5 was reported by Dourbes. Another shock may arrive this evening (associated with the halo CME on March 5), possibly resulting in another geomagnetic storm.

http://prop.hfradio.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The CME that erupted late on March 4 passed ACE around 0400 UTC March 7 (11:00 p.m. EST March 6). As a result, storming reaching the G2 (Moderate) level continues at this time. Another CME, part of the recent R3 (Strong) Radio Blackout event at 0024 UTC March 7 (7:24 p.m. EST March 6) is forecast to pass ACE early morning UTC on March 8 (start of day EST March 8) . Geomagnetic storm periods reaching the G3 (Strong) level are likely from that CME. Finally, a Solar Radiation Storm is also in progress and levels are currently above the S3 (Strong) threshold. Region 1429 remains potent and subsequent activity is certainly possible. Updates here as conditions warrant.

Although the CME is not squarely Earth-directed, it appears direct enough to deliver a glancing blow to our planet’s magnetic field on March 8-9. This would add to the magnetic unrest already underway at high latitudes. The flare also accelerated energetic protons toward Earth, triggering an S3-class solar radiation storm, in progress. Such a storm is mainly a nuisance to satellites, causing occasional reboots of onboard computers and adding noise to imaging systems. –Space Weather

Heavy rains from Tropical Cyclone Irina have killed 72 people on Madagascar and left 70,000 homeless, according to news reports. Irina never reached hurricane strength, but dumped heavy rains on the island over an extended period, February 29 - March 2. The area affected was remote, so the reports of the disaster only today reached the outside world. Irina is the deadliest tropical cyclone of 2012 thus far, and the second deadly storm to affect the island in recent weeks; Tropical Cyclone Giovanna hit the island two weeks ago as a Category 3 storm, killing 35 and leaving 240,000 homeless. Irina is expected to dissipate over cold waters southwest of Madagascar over the next day.

These people that died apparently went downhill fast and started coughing up blood and then their organs were shutting down. From my understanding it all happened in a matter of 2 days from onset of symptoms. The 5th person is a funeral director that was in contact with the bodies, but I haven’t heard anymore on his condition but after he was in contact with the bodies he soon had a tightness in his chest and trouble breathing

The above comments are anecdotal and posted in response to one of several media reports which have cited 4-5 people who were hospitalized including 3-4 who have died with flu-like symptoms, including pneumonia. The cases are under investigation by health and criminal agencies. The fatality rate in the family appears to be in the 75-100% range, raising serious concerns.

The top U.S. commander in the Middle East will warn Congress on Tuesday against efforts to scale back the Navy's presence in the embattled region, saying threats from Iran and elsewhere will require more ships and maritime missile defense capabilities.

Marine Gen. James Mattis, head of U.S. Central Command, also said Syria has a "substantial" chemical and biological weapons capability and thousands of shoulder-launched missiles. Until now, the U.S. military has largely declined to describe the expanse of weapons that President Bashar Assad's regime has at its disposal.

U.S. Says Iranian General Instrumental In Afghan Drug Traffic

...of course the US State Department notes (below) -
Adultery, sex outside marriage, and homosexual sex are all illegal under Iranian law and carry the death penalty. DVDs depicting sexual relations and magazines showing unveiled women are forbidden. Penalties for possession, use, or trafficking in illegal drugs in Iran are severe and convicted offenders can expect long jail sentences and heavy fines. Iran executes many people each year on drug-related charges.

Around 180 people were executed in Iran in 2010.[3] The overwhelming majority were drug traffickers, and virtually all executions are carried out for murder, aggravated rape, large scale drug trafficking, treason, and armed robbery (cases usually resulting in rape/death/attempted murder).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_in_Iran" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Iran is one of 32 countries which apply the death penalty for drug-related crimes, including trafficking, cultivation, manufacturing and possession of illicit drugs. However, under Article 6(2) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights capital punishment should be reserved only for ‘the most serious crimes’, and the UN Human Rights Council has stated that drug offences do not fall into this category. It is estimated that Iran executed approximately 590 people for drug offences in 2010 alone(1).
http://www.europarl.europa.eu/sides/get ... XML+V0//EN" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
According to monitoring carried out by Iran Human Rights, an NGO based in Norway which works against the death penalty in the Islamic Republic, in 2011, Iran carried out at least 676 executions, a frightening increase over preceding years, and with a sharp increase in executions in public. The IHR’s report is primarily based on the information published by the official Iranian sources and different independent sources: 416 (62%) of the 676 executions have been reported by official Iranian news agencies or high-ranking officials within the Iranian judiciary.

IHR emphasizes that the actual number of the executions in Iran is probably much higher than the figures included in its annual report.

According to the official Iranian sources, a majority of those who were executed were convicted of drug-related offences (71%), followed by rape (13%), murder (7%), Moharebeh (enemy of God) (4%), immoral acts or acts against chastity (1%), and armed robbery (1%). For 3% of the executions announced by official Iranian media no charges were mentioned.

In 2011, public executions have more than tripled with at least 65 people being executed in public. This is the highest number of public executions in more than 10 years.

The execution of child offenders continued into 2011, in open violation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child to which it is a co-signatory.

In a bizarre outburst, the Secretary General of the Iranian Supreme Council for Human Rights accused Europe of failing Iran in the war on drugs and even acknowledged in frustration that its draconian drug laws were hurting its international reputation, according to a published report.

After being challenged on Iran's skyrocketing execution rate, Secretary General of the Iranian Supreme Council for Human Rights, Mohammad Javad Larijani, told reporters in Pretoria, "The number of executions is high because 74% of those executed are of drug traffickers who traffic drugs from Afghanistan to Western European countries."

... Larijani said the death penalty would be reviewed only if the West participated in fighting the war against drug trafficking. "We cannot win this war alone. If Europe is interested in the prevention of the trafficking of drugs, then it should participate in this war."

The other option was for Iran to ignore drug trafficking.

"We can close our eyes and drug traffickers can pass through Iran and go wherever they want to go and the number of executions in Iran will drop 74%. In fact, it will be very good for our reputation then."

This is incorrect. The dollar is dying and the Fed will print unlimited amounts of currency. You'll be able to repay your loans one day with a day's wage. Read "When Money Dies".

Prove it!!!

Loans aren't getting any easier to pay back with job losses, wage reductions, and what is ultimately demand destruction due to declining dollars in circulation (contraction of total debt)....any idiot can figure that out pretty quick (especially if they are out of work and looking for a job).

The Fed can print what ever amount of money they want....it if never hits the street (via bank loan) then it doesn't make a hill of beans difference....are loans going up? debt increasing? extra money flowing? demand increasing?

Nah all you have is increasing commodity prices as a result of monopolies....most likely a concerted propaganda effort to open the door to a global currency that is "gold backed". You don't think that they thought they were squandering all of that investment money in libertarian philosophy do you???

That's what people don't realize is that all of the money that has been printed hasn't actually gone into the hands of the people who spend it.

There is a reason the prophets have stated "GET OUT OF DEBT!" If mass inflation were to hit due to additional money being printed and made available to the people, then debt would be a good thing. The economy could grow. You could pay down that debt with cheaper dollars. But what you are seeing is less money in circulation and the cost of goods rising. That means less money for the people to spend on higher priced goods. It is essentially forcing poverty onto the middle class. It will become harder and harder to pay down debts. Your income will continue to decline - through unemployment adn higher priced goods. Debt owners will become even more enslaved and satan's plan will take more control over our lives than ever.

Nice summary!

Ron Paul could yet play into this scenario as well via an alternate global currency (like digital gold) that undermines the dollar. For example you have to convert your dollars to digital gold at some ridiculous rate....so your debt burden is magnified as you have to pay back debt in dollars, pay taxes in dollars, and likely will earn your wages in dollars (if you have a job in a world based on everything going to the lowest common denominator)....but everything you buy (at least the vast majority that comes from out of country) via conversion to digital gold. The exchange rate is set by "the market" (supposedly free)....of course.

Not to mention all the remaining barriers coming down to "free" trade, privatization, and globalization.

For example after Congress has allowed China to peg their currency to the US dollar for decades completely undermining our manufacturing base....they now claim to be on the job (rare achievement for divided Congress) trying to protect you (now that you are completely dependent upon cheap Chinese goods - in 2007) by raising the prices you will have to pay for essential goods that we no longer manufacture. Interesting isn't it???
Partisan gridlock still reigns on Capitol Hill, but there’s one thing lawmakers agree on — trade penalties for China.

The House easily approved legislation Tuesday to grant the Commerce Department the right to continue imposing higher tariffs on goods from China and other countries that subsidize their exports to the United States. The measure passed with broad bipartisan support on a vote of 370 to 39.

Commerce has been applying these “countervailing” duties since 2007.

in the speech relating to the spy plane, Congressman Paul also briefly addressed the trade imbalance. He stated that despite a trade imbalance in their favor, the US subsidizes numerous Chinese industries through the Export/Import Bank. In 2006, Congressman Paul introduced an amendment to end the $4 billion subsidy to this bank, which underwrites the purchases of goods and services by the Chinese government and others. He noted that many US businesses benefit from this arrangement. Congressman Paul has continued stating his desire to end this subsidy in related speeches.

He has argued against resolutions and other items condemning Chinese currency manipulation as antagonistic and ultimately ineffective. He states that the real problem is not China's manipulation of their currency, but the overall use of fiat currency of the world that allows for such manipulation by removing the backing of the currencies with precious metals.

August 14, 2006 Each year the people of the United States write a check to subsidize China, one of the most brutal, anti-American regimes in the world. Apparently, many members of Congress are happy to bash China, but don’t mind lending her U.S. taxpayer money at sweetheart interest rates.

May 9, 2007 The fact that the Chinese keep their currency artificially weak is a benefit to American consumers and long term is inflationary for the Chinese. Neither tariffs nor forced devaluations can solve the problem.

Our current account deficit and huge foreign indebtedness is a reflection of the world monetary system of fiat money. The longer the trade imbalances last, the more difficult the adjustment will be. The market will eventually force these adjustments on us.

Eventually it will be necessary to consider commodity-based money to solve the trade imbalances that concern so many here in the Congress.

Who is the "market" that will "force" these adjustments on us via commodity-based money???

....if the president or government shouldn't have the power....who does??? private corporations???

...yet here he talks about the war in Libya being all about business....
This current wave of globalization has been driven by policies that have opened economies domestically and internationally. In the years since the Second World War, and especially during the past two decades, many governments have adopted free-market economic systems, vastly increasing their own productive potential and creating myriad new opportunities for international trade and investment. Governments also have negotiated dramatic reductions in barriers to commerce and have established international agreements to promote trade in goods, services, and investment. Taking advantage of new opportunities in foreign markets, corporations have built foreign factories and established production and marketing arrangements with foreign partners. A defining feature of globalization, therefore, is an international industrial and financial business structure.

Privatization coupled w/ globalization is simply dictatorship by foreign, phantom, unelectable boards of directors.

Privatization + globalization allows for companies like Bechtel to troll the planet, prey on poor countries, privatize their natural resources and pollute the rest while extolling the virtues of employment for a few underpaid workers.

Globalization + privatization allows for the possibility of a UAE national company to purchase America's ports... from a British company.

Rampant privatization allows for private individuals to 'own' all the natural resources. Unelectable boards of directors, particularly those w/ foreign interests, should not be allowed to control our water, energy and oil. A bunch of nouveau riche hicks shouldn't have been in such a position to tinker w/ California's energy as did those at Enron.

Imagine a world where everything is owned: the land, the water, and the air.

Ownership is the right of influence. When you own something you can do what you will with it. Nobody can tell you otherwise. If you save all your money and buy a Porsche, you can drive it off a cliff for all we care. It is yours, and being yours, it escapes our influence.

In a corporation, decisions are made through ownership percentage of the company. If you and I, together, own 51% of our company, we can institute any corporate policy or bylaws we want. But I ask you, how many of us own 51% of Exxon, or Merrill Lynch, or Monsanto? How many of us have ever sat in on a board meeting for Disney, or Microsoft, or K-Mart? Chances are, you have not, and as long as you don’t own enough of the company, you will never be invited. You will never have influence. That takes ownership.

Granted, the consumer has, at best, a secondary influence. Corporations require income and income requires customers. Yet even at this level, our amount of influence is dependent on a dollar amount. If a small group of angry consumers boycotts Fox News, while Fox News rakes in millions from their advertisers, who is more in control of what Fox News does? If a corporation puts into the market a product full of harmful materials, knowing that they are harmful, keeping such knowledge from the public, knowing that the legal structure of their corporation would insulate them from personal liability, what influence does the consumer have to stop from being exposed to the harmful material? Virtually none. They can only react after they are harmed. When they rise up against the evil company, investors have already been tipped-off to the scandal. They sell their shares and the price of the stock implodes — but the investors walk away with their returns, ready to invest in the next growth-based business scheme. The workers are out of a job, but they were mechanisms of profit, and profit was made.

Imagine a world where everything is owned: not by you, but by one of these companies. Imagine that the presiding authority over the water you drink, or the air you breathe is owned by somebody else, and its use had to be commercially negotiated: that you drink because you have permission to drink, or breathe air because you have permission to breathe it.

What else is a license than merely formal arrangements of permission? When you buy a $0.99 song on iTunes, its not merely the bandwidth you are paying for, or even the royalty to the artist. You are purchasing a license — you are purchasing permission from the owner of the music, the record company, to play and store the music on your computer and iPod.

Imagine a world where the central systems of society were privatized in this fashion: they are owned, not by you, and provided through private permission.

What else is Despotism than a society where everything that is done, is done with permission of the elite? What else is Despotism than the privatization of society?

The Club for Growth wrote a white paper on Rep. Ron Paul back in 2007. Most of the information below is from that report, but since Paul has been outspoken on several issues since then, we’ve updated his record to reflect those positions. Paul has a lifetime Club for Growth rating of 87%. The average House Republican score during that time period was 73%. Congressman Paul’s scores for the last six years (since the Club started issuing a scorecard) are:

2010: 90%
2009: 97%
2008: 88%
2007: 80%
