Survey: Vast Majority Of People All Over The World Want Global Government To Save Them

A major new survey has found that the vast majority of people all over the planet are ready to embrace a global government in the hope that it will save humanity from catastrophe and major threat.
The survey, carried out by ComRes on behalf of the Stockholm based group Global Challenges Foundation found that on average, close to three quarters (71%) of the general public wish to see the creation of a new “supranational organisation to make enforceable global decisions” about major threats to humanity.

In every single country, over 60% of respondents said they wished to see a global government to tackle such issues as climate change, disease pandemics, artificial intelligence turning against humanity, weapons of mass destruction, natural disaster, and asteroids.
The wording of the specific question in the survey was as follows:
A supranational organisation is an international body comprised of different member countries. It does not replace national governments, but places global interests above that of nation-states. Examples of supranational organisations include the European Union, NATO, and the United Nations.
Do you think that a new supranational organisation should be created to make enforceable global decisions to address global risks?

As The London Independent reports, almost 70% of people in the UK supported the idea of a global government, with 62 per cent saying they consider themselves to be “a global citizen”.

A further 54% of Brits said they would happily give up national sovereignty in order for worldwide threats to be more readily dealt with by a global body.
The survey collated information from 8,100 people in eight countries, encompassing half the world’s population. Those countries were Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, India, South Africa, the UK and US.
It found that support for a “supranational organisation” was high across the board, with the most support coming from India (84 per cent), China (78 per cent) and South Africa (76 per cent).

In the US, 67 per cent said they supported the creation of a world governing body to deal with threats. The lowest support was measured in Germany, yet the figure was still a resounding majority at 62 per cent.
Over 60% in every country said they considered themselves a ‘global citizen’. In the US the figure was 67%.

Specifically on the issue of climate change, a huge 88% of respondents said they would be willing to see their living standards change in order to offset catastrophic future climate changes.
“As world leaders gather for the G7 Summit, they should be aware that citizens across the planet are yearning for them to collaborate and work harder to find solutions for these critical threats to humanity,” said Mats Andersson, the foundation’s vice-chairm, adding that “The next 50 years will shape our far future over the next 10,000 years and beyond.”
The survey was commissioned as part of a $5m competition for new proposals to “re-envision global governance to better cope with 21st century risks” according to the group’s website.
It asks those taking part to “be part of the global conversation. Help to change the shape of things to come.”
The Global Challenges Foundation was founded by a former stock market trader, Swedish billionaire Laszlo Szombatfalvy five years ago.
The report paints a grim picture on climate change, focusing on the notion that the average global temperature will rise one to three degrees Celsius in the foreseeable future.
“Even in mid-range scenarios, entire ecosystems would collapse, much agricultural land would be lost, as would most reliable freshwater sources, leading to large-scale suffering and instability.” it states.
“Major coastal cities – New York, Shanghai, Mumbai – would find themselves largely under water and the populations of low-lying coastal regions – currently more than a billion people – may need to be relocated.” the survey adds.
“In high-end scenarios, the scale of destruction is beyond our capacity to mode with a high likelihood of human civilization coming to an end.” the report concludes.

I question the accuracy and reliability of any report or survey that addresses the issue of global warming because I consider it a hoax fomented to further promote global government. But I note it is taken seriously by many people in many countries. -- Lundbæk

That's the real and insidious difficulty of fighting global government: it claims to be able to solve several key problems of the world: War, poverty, inequality, pollution, the planet, per se., etc.

I for one have not partaken in any such survey, neither have I heard of one, nor of anyone who has.

In a 23 July 2009 article in THE NEW AMERICAN MAGAZINE one can read " But within the CFR are hardcore globalists who, linked with their foreign counterparts through the Bilderbergers and Trilateral Commission, head the drive for one-world government. Though numerically small (less than 1,000 members during the Kennedy years, less than 4,500 today), this organization has dominated every administration for over seven decades. As long as the CFR controls our government, we can anticipate more of the same: diminishing national sovereignty; free flow of immigration (which confuses national identity and weakens national loyalties); increasing jobs losses through multinational trade agreements; further internationalization of law (Law of the Sea Treaty, Kyoto Protocol, World Court, global taxation, etc.); increasing loss of freedoms in a “surveillance society”; progressive organization of the United States, Mexico, and Canada into a North American Union; and ultimately, broader merger into a world government where all power will be concentrated in the hands of the elite."

People who wish to restore and maintain the principles of the U.S. Constitution in the U.S. FedGov should be seriously concerned about the prospects of their country becoming subordinate to a North American Union and ultimately to a world government. Proponents for world government claim that independent sovereign, independent nations give rise to wars and financial instability, and that world government will unite all people under a single benevolent rule and be able to maintain peace and constant economic growth. I hope that readers of this post appreciate that national sovereignty is absolutely essential to American liberty. As much as government of the United States has apostatized a long way from the principles of the Constitution that the Lord established by the hands of wise men whom He raised up unto that very purpose, a global government will take us a lot farther a lot faster into tyranny.

I think there are quite a few people in the world today who are sheep or lemmings. They don't like to think or think for themselves. They just like to follow along with what others do. It's a monkey see, monkey do world. They don't want to take any personal responsibility for anything. They believe the world owes them many things, none of which are they willing to work for.
So thus it makes much sense that there would be many people in this world who would like a world government. Who would like Big Brother to take care of them.
What they never realize, is that Big Brother will take care of Big Brother and the other elites, first, second and third, and they will be quite low on the totem pole.

Thanks for clarifying once more the role of the CFR. What is puzzling to me is how having CFR members in the administration of a president was bad up through Obama, but now it's OK if there are CFR members in Trump's administration because Trump occasionally used anti-globalism rhetoric during the campaign. Who can explain this contradiction to me?
