ANALYSIS
FBI will never count those injured and murdered by the cops

By John McDevittDec 11, 2014

FBI will never count those injured and murdered by the cops
A protester in Oakland, Calif., exemplifies the mass anger that is pushing the movement forward.
The writer set up an emergency hate crimes and incidents reporting system involving government and community agencies in Southern California in the wake of 9/11, discovering both intentional undercounting by government agencies and the possibility of a real count when communities are mobilized.

As Kashad Ashford lay unconscious in the car he crashed on Sept. 16, officers from three police departments in Bergen County, N.J., approached. They shot him in the head and torso nine times as the passenger jumped out of the car to avoid being killed too and as workers in surrounding stores watched in horror.

Report: Oregon's prison reform is working

The Oregon Department of Corrections expects it will not need to build any new prisons over the next decade.
Oregon is receiving national attention for its 2013 prison reforms that reduced sentences for some property crimes, allowed some low-risk inmates to leave prison sooner and put more money into community corrections programs at the county level.

A report from the Pew Charitable Trusts found that one year after House Bill 3194 became law, Oregon would save $17 million by July 1 and would be on track to save $326 million over the next decade.
Pew worked with Oregon's Commission on Public Safety, a 12-member board appointed by Gov. John Kitzhaber, to create the reforms the Oregon Legislature eventually passed.
The majority of the Pew report outlined the changes made in HB 3194, explaining them to people in other states that may not have been familiar with the changes Oregon has made.

Lima climate talks agree on just one paragraph of deal with 24 hours left
As crucial UN climate summit in Peru enters final hours, negotiators have made little progress on draft text

Negotiators working on a deal to fight climate change have agreed on just a single paragraph of text, casting a shadow over the prospects for a strong outcome in Lima.

The talks – scheduled to end at noon local time on Friday after 10 full days – are intended to provide a clear blueprint for a global agreement to fight climate change by the end of next year.

But while negotiators descended on Lima in a positive mood, buoyed by recent commitments from the US and China, the talks have fallen into a rut.

“We are going backwards,” said Alden Meyer, who monitors the climate negotiations for the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Those at the talks still have every expectation that Lima will produce some kind of agreement by Friday evening, or more likely early Saturday morning – but the paralysis is in stark contrast to the upbeat backdrop to the summit’s opening.

“I am not really sure that we will see a clear outcome coming here in Lima,” said the former Mexican president, Felipe Calderón, who addressed the meeting.

By Thursday morning the text, which had started at a reasonable six pages, had ballooned to about 50, with negotiators throwing in their objections to almost every single clause. Just one section, paragraph 34, on countries intensifying

Senator Warren’s speech on Citigroup and the Wall Street bailout
david | Sat, Dec 13, 2014 2:58 PM EST
This speech, delivered shortly before the House passed the CRomnibus bill that reinstated the possibility of taxpayer-funded bailouts for banks engaged in derivatives trading – a provision that nobody in Congress will admit to actually being in favor of, is well worth watching. Senator Warren is really hitting her stride. Good timing.

MSFreeh, I appreciate you efforts to provide these reports of goings-on, especially in view of the lack of interest shown by readers as evidenced by the lack of comment or input from us. I think the contrast between the reader responses on this thread and reader responses on other topics indicate, among probably other things, is due to a couple of things. 1. Personal problems as evidenced by the discussion on the LDSFF about issues involving personal weaknesses and frustrations, and 2. The large number of different things coming at us from different directions that are tearing lives, families, communities, and nations apart. I have become somewhat acquainted with several forum members, even having visited with a few. They are people who demonstrate more interest in and concern about maintaining the freedoms we still have and restoring those we have lost than most forum members. As one of two instructors to our high priest group I occasionally try to initiate discussion about maintaining the freedoms we still have and restoring those we have lost. And I am looking forward to increasing this effort this coming year via the teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, and that in spite of the obvious effort of the Church Curriculum Development department or committee to dissuade such discussion. I hope to be able to call attention to the things that President Benson said while President of the Church about the importance of maintaining our freedoms, the US Constitution, and what he called the secret combinations intent of dismantling our Constitution and destroying our freedoms. I hope to stimulate thinking about how and why these topics, although emphasized at times by President Benson, are avoided now to a great extent, although not entirely as one might think.

I think most of us LDSFF members do care about the things MSFreeh reports on this thread. It's just that we are being clobbered by so many other challenges, some of our own making and many fomented by Satan and his latter-day gadianton minions.

thanks for posting.

Let me know if there is any way I can help.

I regularly turn to the words of the poet
Rilke to help me understand the questions you just raised.

Rainer Maria Rilke
“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”

I can imagine that many Church members would consider me out of line in calling attention to statements of President Benson about freedom, the US Constitution, and attacks against both. They say that the Prophet is not talking about that now. President Benson stopped talking about these things when he became the Prophet. We are an international church now. We would offend some if not many members by discussion of things that go against their current political persuasions. I'm not taking the time to refute each of those arguments now. I've done that on other threads. Briefly, my reply to those complaints is that nothing that President Benson said about freedom, the Constitution , and secret combinations has ever been contradicted by a later prophet/Church President. Since President Benson died no Prophet has, to my knowledge, given us any specific instruction on these issues. A few apostles have spoken about these things since then, but only to limited groups of people, such as at the Prove Utah Freedom Festival, a BYU-I graduation ceremony, and during a KSL radio interview. And, we need to be engaged in worthy causes and not wait to be commanded in all things. One should not be obligated to discuss personal revelations or statements in a patriarchal blessing to justify activity in this cause.

I guess if one is interested in helping enlighten other Church members about our responsibilities to freedom, to the principles of the US Constitution, and to oppose the secret combinations that Nephi, Moroni, President Benson, and President Packer warned us about one could search out and review what President Benson said on these subjects and look for opportunities during priesthood and relief society lessons and sacrament talks, etc. to bring the subjects up. I am aware that some LDSFF members have done just that. I just wish more of them would.

Just wanted to chime in and say I care, and thanks to both msfreeh and Lundbaek for your posts, some of which get reposted on the Pahvant Post -- http://www.pahvantpost.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Freeh is the one who put us onto the Trentadue/FBI story that we followed for quite awhile.

Because one of our focuses is property rights, and our ongoing local battles over property rights, we really liked the Zombie Nativity story, and wanted to re-post it, but if there is one thing we have learned it is that pictures are worth 1000 words. Without pics, those kind of stories just kind of fall flat.

Thanks to both MSFreeh and Lunbaeck for being true patriots, for caring, and continuing to try to educate and fight for freedom, when so very few seem to care.

Keep it up, and don't give up!

The material I post here is similar to the way Physics Professor
Dr Steven Jones posting an article about his research
into Fusion in the peer reviewed Journal of Physics.

I post material here about crimes committed by
taxpayer funded FBI agents based on my research into
crimes committed by FBI agents.
Yes I was involved organizing a conference for
13 years at various colleges looking at crimes
committed by FBI agents or as I like to call them cops.

My goals in posting the material about
crimes committed by cops here in this peer reviewed
website made up of my peers, voters and taxpayers, is
to help you make choices about how you want your taxes
spent on the criminal justice system.

Yes I want you to become a smart criminal justice
consumer.and develop a vocabulary about crime
and punishment in the same way you talk about
GMO foods, vaccines, alternative healing, god and
spirit, etc

I really don't care if you are a patriot or not.

I do care if you are conscious and how you use
that consciousness to become a smart criminal justice
consumer.

The best way to get a headline: Hire a celebrity

Harry Belafonte's backing was sought by President Kennedy
Imagine this. A knock at the door, you open it, and standing there is John F Kennedy on the threshold of becoming President of the United States of America.

He has been seeking a meeting with you for weeks and says he needs your help to bring him millions of votes.

The man he was visiting was the actor and 'King of Calypso" Harry Belafonte and Mr Belafonte was far from impressed.

Kennedy, he said, seemed to understand little about the problems of America's black population.

However, he did tell him that the man he should be speaking to was Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

Kennedy was reluctant to alienate his white southern vote but when Dr King was imprisoned, he and his brother, Bobby, spoke up in his support.

The more we understand how ideas and opinions are spread, the more politicians and businesses are looking at everyone's level of 'celebrity' ”

In return, Dr King thanked him for his "moral courage".

Kennedy won the election by a hair's breadth and took 68% of the black vote, 7% more than the previous Democrat candidate Adlai Stevenson.

There is a long history to the close relationship between politicians and celebrity.

The forerunner of the FBI, the Bureau of Investigation was worrying about star power and political agitation as far back as 1918.

The reason? They are, to a degree, in the same business - attention.

We may say it has absolutely no effect on us. Ipsos-Mori says the public overwhelmingly claim a celebrity endorsement "makes no difference whatsoever" to their voting intentions. But when it comes to creating attention it simply makes sense - you go to the experts, and they are called celebrities.

'Powerful sneezers'
In a recent poll by Mori, Angelina Jolie topped the list of celebrities the public felt had made a positive contribution to politics.

Leonardo di Caprio
Leonardo DiCaprio made a big impact speaking at a UN climate change conference
Russell Brand came bottom. However, while a lot of people may not like him, no-one can question his ability to attract attention, especially amongst the young.

When Leonardo DiCaprio lectured the United Nations Climate Change Summit in September he said he spoke not as an expert but as "a concerned citizen."

The speech from this UN "Messenger of Peace" lasted less than three minutes and generated more press coverage than the contribution of either Ban Ki Moon or Barack Obama.

Measured purely in terms of column inches it was hugely successful and it is a tried and tested strategy by the UN.

Indeed, this year is the 60th anniversary of the UN's embrace of celebrity politics.

Their first ambassador-at-large was Hollywood star Danny Kaye. Unicef has, over the years, enlisted a group that includes Nana Mouskouri, and Manchester United and Ireland's Eurovision hopeful, Dustin the Turkey.

Moreover, the ability to attract attention is becoming increasingly marketable.

Calculating celebrity power used to be limited to a tiny elite but the more we understand about how ideas and opinions are spread, the more politicians and businesses are looking at everyone's level of "celebrity".

If you want to convince people of something, it really helps if you have a grasp of what the writer and marketer Seth Godin calls "powerful sneezers".

'George Clooney, without question'
So, let's start at the top.

Who should you turn to first if you want a bit of star power to boost your electoral chances?

Prof Barrie Gunter, author of Celebrity Capital, barely hesitated when I asked him.

"'George Clooney, without question. Famous, credible and now with extra stability."

George Clooney and his wife
Marriage has made George Clooney even more in demand
We may say we are not influenced by celebrity but he says there is "reliable statistical evidence" that we are and there is a growing industry trying to put numbers to that power.

One of them is the "Q score".

"Tom Hanks, I'd definitely go for Tom Hanks."

Henry Schafer, of Marketing Evaluations, who drew up the "Q scores" of celebrity power, knew who he would call on if he was running for office.

He should know. It's the 50th anniversary of the Q score and they have been calculating how well-known and how well-liked the top 1,850 celebrities are every six months.

Some 83% of Americans know who Tom Hanks is and his likeability - his Q score - is a very high 39.

Clint Eastwood is on 82% with an even more impressive Q of 50.

Mitt Romney was very well advised when he invited him to the Republican Convention.

Of course, Q scores cannot measure the likelihood of someone making a rambling speech addressed to an empty chair.

The score, he says, is not really related to fame but "awareness and emotional bond".

"It's all about credibility."

That's why Kennedy went to Belafonte.

There were no Q scores in 1959 but the hunch was that when it came to trust, respect and credibility among black voters, Harry Belafonte was the man to go to after their first choice, the baseball star Jackie Robinson, had decided to endorse his rival Richard Nixon.

'Smosh versus Jolie'
However, if you want to reach as many people as possible one or two celebrities will never be enough.

In 2012, Barack Obama had 228 acting endorsements, Mitt Romney had 45.

Comedians split 23 to seven, adult entertainment performers eight to three. Nascar and wrestling swung to Romney.

This though is only the beginning.
