Trespass is a civil offence here in the UK; therefore you can't be arrested for it.
It is not a criminal offence unless damage is caused. If you cause damage (cut a wire fence for example) you can be arrested and charged with criminal damage, and convicted as long as it is proven, but none of this applies to the actual trespass.

Here in the US, you can be arrested for slow-braking through a stop sign on a deserted street, at least in Texas. Or standing in a street that a cop pushed you out into. Or throwing away mail that belongs to someone else.
