Here in the US, you can be arrested for slow-braking through a stop sign on a deserted street, at least in Texas. Or standing in a street that a cop pushed you out into. It is not a criminal offence unless damage is caused. If you cause damage (cut a wire fence for example) you can be arrested and charged with criminal damage, and convicted as long as it is proven, but none of this applies to the actual trespass.
