Very interesting and in a way sad, because he mentions that he had warned us so many times and we didn't listen.....also in one of the talks he mentions when he was sect. of Agric. when he talked to a Russian leader (don't remember the name.) and he basically told Pres. Benson that we Americans are dumb and we are being fed socialism a bit at a time and one day we will wake up and be communist....wow...hitting a bit to much at home now if you ask me... I feel just horrible. We have always had food storage and tried to be as self-sufficient as possible.

I have a question....It was brought up that there will be these "refuge's" for the worthy members...so do these worthy members get told in advance where these refuge's are?
Hi Hope,
I can assure you 100% that video was not filmed in Mexico, the overpass structures and traffic signs are not Mexican but indeed American.

Francisco, the Russians have pretended to be unarmed before. Also, as you say, the prophecy was second-hand. If it is a true prophecy, some of the details may not be exact.

My concern is the statement that this happens during the time there is (for the first time) a non-European-descent president. This is the first time we have had a president who did not have all of his ancestors come from Europe.

Manton, that is frightening. It would be very logical for them to strike first. And to strike at the heart of our gov't as well as the heart of Mitt's church sound very possible.

My daughter told me a couple of days ago that Canada is tightening its borders to keep Americans from coming in as refugees when/if Mitt becomes president. They expect a huge influx if he is elected, and they don't want them. If this is true, it makes the possibility of tptb planning to wipe out Americans a little more creepy and real. It also seems to fit this prophecy, if the socialists are behind killing millions of Americans (don't want any of the rats to escape).

Well, if we hit February 1st and nothing has happened, I'll breathe better. At the earliest, I don't think I'd rest until a few days after the inauguration.

A Random Phrase,

«It would be very logical for them to strike first.»

A first strike would be suicidal for Russia, besides the common russian will not stand for it. The russians are not a war loving people. They cannot stand when the country is invaded, but historically the common russian isn't very fond of war, and almost never the first agressors. The same can't be said of their élites, bien sûre.

There is a democracy growing in Russia, in spite of Putin. I'll take a look at the russian newspapers, as I speak the language, and report back if I find some public mood preparations.

Knowing Putin and the likes of KGB, I'd say they would bet more in an internal demise of the United States. And, let's face it, the US have so many internal tensions that a spark carefully engineered could create hell on earth there without a single shot being fired from outside.

Just found an article about an October Surprise on Libya (they call it Autumn Surprise) that cites a rumour in the New York Times. Hardly a preparation. The rest of the titles seems to be business as usual. I read the russian edition.

A Random Phrase,

«My daughter told me a couple of days ago that Canada is tightening its borders to keep Americans from coming in as refugees when/if Mitt becomes president»

As reported in The New Yorker's Borowitz Report,* McTavish announced today that Canada is increasing security along the US-Canadian border. The RCMP will be patrolling every kilometre of the border.

*Borowitz Report is a satirical publication.

Here is a possible scenario...the GAS prophecy is real, Obama wins the election and the war starts at the end of his second term. In the meantime, President Monson anounced the age change for missionaries which could be one big last push by almost doubling the missionary force for a couple of years. We build the two announced temples. The elders are then called home and all heck breaks loose. Also, the famine in the meantime increases the next couple of years. Just a scenario, but some things line up.

Thank you, francisco.

What if someone working in the U.S. gov't made the first strike, but didn't bother to tell the U.S. citizens, or what it they did something that ticked of the Russian elite?

They have already worked on the internal demise. What if they decide the U.S. is ready for harvesting, so to speak, and the land troops come first?

Unfortunately, in most governments, the common people are rarely considered when the elite really want something.

I'll have to ask my daughter where she read that. She may have read it at that site, not realizing the publication was satirical.

Haddomr, that is possible, I think, though I tend more toward something happening this year, if it is to happen at all.

Edited to add: My daughter said she read it online and it could have been that publication (if they have online publications).

According to US law, the signing of international treaties does not have to pass through the House. It only needs the approval of the President and the Senate, which is, I believe, held by Democrats. They could *start* to take away the missiles in ONE month (not shipping them home), in which case the defences would be there, just not ready and prompt to a rapid conquest.

Even in this scenario, the time frame seems kind of impossible. It would take years just no negotiate a new treaty and prepare the US public opinions, which now is, at best account, very unfavourable to an annuence to the Russians in this matter. If the President that took this path without a favourable public background would be plunging the chances of having a Democrat president elected again for decades.

Maybe the vision of the invasion came with conditions (they almost always come), which were not recorded and were not fulfilled, voiding the invasion at this time. Maybe Obama, having a mother of european ascendancy, is not the said president. With so many maybes, fulfilling the vision at this time under all its propositions seems unfeasable.

But then agaim maybe I'm wrong. :D And better prepared than sorry.

And the russian edition I browsed yesterday was the one of Pravda, well connected with Putin and the regime.

Unless the «Autumn Surprise» works, Obama will not continue to be president. In such scenario, and with approx 2 1/2 months between election and inauguration, the time frames seem impossible a withdraw of missiles from Europe unless:

1) US and Russia had all figured out in top secret negotiations, and the US Army and Navy had already in place a logistic plan to take the weapons away BEFORE the inauguration of the new president. In which case the only delay would be to schedule the treaty through the Senate (the House will not need to be heard here), and start packing. This would be a _feasible_ scenario to a Russia + democratic party coalition, because they would no that Romney will not take the missiles away, having named Russia the main enemy of the US.

2) In order to force so, a domestic disturbance has to take the US citizens' eyes away from what is happening in the world. Yes, a false flag attack or a riot of some sort. Better if it was near Canada or Mexico, since it could spread fears of international spreading, in which case the European nations would be more than willing to get read of the missiles, and would welcome the plan drawn in 1).

(Such treaty preceded from a false flag attack would not be secret for long. Someone would have spilled the beans, not a Joe Who from Montana or a Jack What from Arizona, but a credible and verifiable source, either in US or in Russia. Do not deny the power of Vodka when passing through the right throat. :D )

3.1) In order to be possible for a scenario of riots not to spread to the whole continental US, major cities would have to be well guarded and the military close by, if possible to find a reason. That, of course, would bring law enforcement officers to spill the beans again.

3.2) In order to have a false flag attack, you can either produce it or allow it to happen (the second being the most plausibly denied).

There is an indicator of where a false flag will probably happen: see if the senior army, intelligence and law enforcement officers' families en masse are evacuated or taken from the area with the excuse of a picnic or a convention. If they are being detoured from the area of your house, pack your things and get as fast and as far your car can get you and your family.

4) Such an attack or riot had to occur before the missiles are evacuated, which leaves, oh!, something less than a month to occur after the elections. Which means the whole month of November. You need December to speedily negotiate the coming back of soldiers with the host nations and recall them home in January in haste BEFORE the next president gets inaugurated.

So we are either under a giant machination of very intelligent and silent men (which would probably be richer fixing the economy once and for all instead of playing with atomic toys, since they are very cunning and intelligent), or we have to discard the fulfilment of a «partially written decades after and heard from children» vision, in the likes of the «White Horse Prophecy» for the time being.

That is my point. Of course, I may well be completely an utterly wrong. If any of you has a different view about the prophecy, I would like to know it.

There is an awful lot of lies (like FEMA camps) that are being issued «in the name of the Lord Jesus» by fundamentalist Christians. I have an impressions those poor souls make a disservice to the cause of God: for one, those lies will make the impression that being a devout Christian is being a confirmed nutjob, and for other they incessantly cry wolf until no one believes in the God's oracles and words, and so help the secret combinations that seek to destroy us more than they hurt them.

I somehow believe that some of the purposed visions of Joseph Smith or, coming to believe that, the said visions are more pious lies than actual records. Being recorded decades after the alleged issue of the revelation or vision, they say more about the state of mind of the recorder than of the vision itself; for we are all bound to filter out with time what is uninteressing for us.

If you have ever read «Nôtre Dame de Paris», the romance of Victor Hugo, the one with the Hunchback, you'll find the Disney account of the story misleading at the most. The account was softened for children. never in a children's movie the drastic and horrific ending of the romance could be presented. So they changed the ending; they changed most of the story; they focused on the hunchback, and left out a myriad of interesting and meaningful characters. They, could be said, made a caricature of the romance of Victor Hugo, for an understandable purpose, of course, which is to present it to children. It is, though, a corruption of the movie, and no one that has ever seen the movie will be able to claim they know the story of the romance.

In the same letter, those pious liers will hurt more than they do good. When a person copies from a book (a US report) a North Korean prisoner camp and claims it to be in Arkansas or Montana, they may think they will hurt Obama. They are actually helping him. You catch a lier faster than you detect a limp on a man, the portuguese say.

This is not the case of the George Albert Smith's prophecy, but having the recorders listened to it as a small child and only decades latter producing an account of it is prone to error introduction, misleads and confusion with other prophecies or even fictional accounts. Even for what seems to be a truthful and honest man. When the «prophecy» does not get to be fulfilled, they will blame George Albert Smith and not even remotely consider two honest persons that made mistakes and errors when retelling what they have heard as children.

All that comes from trying to fit a prophetic account recorded second hand decades later than it was issued in the spirit of times. After all possible exercises of trying to hammer in a screw, I came to an impression: am I sure this is the word of the Lord AS it was issued by the mouth of George Albert Smith? I am not. Note in this case I do not accuse the recorders of being dishonest or liers, and have all the reasons to think of them as upright and straight people. And give them allowance for humanly errors.

I will stick to freshly recorded prophecy (same week at the best, or even recorded on site), heard or seen by the recorder, and will listen to what the modern prophets have to say.

Zkulptor,

A purported chinese base seen from the satellite was no more than a housing project (lousy houses for unbelievable prices, even). There are a lot of lies on the Internet. Why anyone would lie, that is something that baffles me. With so much lousy truth going around, one does not have to recur to misrepresentations of the truth to flame on the United Nations, the US Government, the European Union or even on the United Bretheren of the Masonic Lodge of the Holy Conspiracy.

In Mexico, there are no Chinese bases near Nuevo Laredo or any of the border cities. Those projects that you see are INFONAVITs, housing provided to government employees (usually school teachers and mid-level bureaucracy groups).

There are rumors of Russian troops near the southern border of Mexico, supposedly as advisors to the Mexicans on how to contain the drug war and keep the violence in Central America (which by the way is WORSE than in Mexico) from spilling over into Mexico.

True. We don't know how much is actually true. I believe David Horne was an honest man and told the story according to his memory but, like you said, memories can be faulty (and they usually are to some degree or other). The main parts of the revelation, like wars and hunger fit written prophecies, though.)

A Random Phrase,

The main parts of the revelation, like wars and hunger fit written prophecies, though.)

I would not expect it any other way. But let us then centre ourselves on a specific detail (that was modified or added later on or confused with popular culture or current events), like the «greek» extraction, that would bring the coming of the prophecy without any doubt to the next three months. Hell on earth, russian invasion, pretty much the works. And then we find ourselves looking at the inauguration of Mitt Romney and no russian troops have ever came out of their barracks nor any missile was thrown against the US. Where does that put us?

Some will say «George Albert Smith was wrong. He was no prophet!» Most of Babylon will make that prophecy as a point that those wrecked mormons are sons of a masonic devil at the worst, or ingenuous fools at the best.

Was George Albert Smith wrong? I don't know even if he uttered that prophecy in those exact wording. He could have said «most of the presidents before were of northern european extraction» instead of «all of the...» That simple word change makes all the difference. I do not know if a child will retain those exact words for decades before he puts that in writing.

I don't know also if there was a cancellation or a derrogatory condition on that prophecy, in which case it could well be decades away or void. I do not expect a ten year old to record and remember those conditions, centring himself only on the horrific and emotional parts. Decades away from the telling, that is what a child would have retained. Was something like «this will not happen if the Church is not present in every country in the christian world by then, but it will be delayed until it does.», or «it will only come to pass after the Lord tells the saints to stop living in the city centres, to preserve the lives of the saints.»

Francisco, you bring up very valid points. If nothing happens, and Mitt is made president, then we will know that it was not a true prophecy as it was presented to us. Like you said, the child could have forgotten some important words, or the prophecy could have been dependent on something the child did not remember.

I think I will not stress about it, but watch to see if anything happens. I cannot change anything, whether it is true or false.

A Random Phrase,

Please note that I am not saying the prophecy was not true. I just think there is no possibility of it being fulfilled in the coming months. I do not doubt George Albert Smith status as a prophet. I have doubts about the account, but not of the person that told it. I think he did it at the best of his ability.

Now, if we do not make these disclaimers now, our enemies will use the account against us and our missionary work in case it does not come to pass at this specific time.

I have another doubt, and maybe you could enlighten me. Is there not a prophecy that the falling of the United States starts in Chicago iand not by any invasion? I remember vaguely reading something during or before my mission that the foreign troops would not invade the US, but would place themselves near the US borders to contain the inner conflict and chaos. Am I right and there is such a prophecy? Or twenty five years later I got to be quite confused?

fransisco,

The problem with limiting the prophecy to needing to be fulfilled in the next three months, is that is assuming that Romney wins the election. If Obama wins that would mean we have 4 years and 1-3 months for those things to be fulfilled.

Then we look at some other information: Obama was caught on an open mic telling the Russian diplomat to wait until after the election to discuss the U.S. withdrawing missiles from Europe. Much that you do not believe can happen in the next three months very easily could happen in 4 years with Obama at the helm; although I am not convinced of the prophecies validity, it is one that I have kept an eye on for almost 20 years, when I first became aware of it. Although I am not convinced of its accuracy, I also do not dismiss it. It is one prophecy that if it begins to be fulfilled it should be crystal clear.

2 Nephi 13:17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts.

24 And it shall come to pass, instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle, a rent; and instead of well set hair, baldness; and instead of a stomacher, a girding of sackcloth; burning instead of beauty.

25 Thy men shall fall by the sword and thy mighty in the war.

26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she shall be desolate, and shall sit upon the ground.
We know something will come that makes the women in Zion lose their hair. The timing of this event is what is unknown. The reason is known.
14 The Lord will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people and the princes thereof; for ye have eaten up the vineyard and the spoil of the poor in your houses.

15 What mean ye? Ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor, saith the Lord God of Hosts.
Evidently it will be because we leave nothing for the poor and live off their labor.

No one here at LDSFreedomforum that I know of considers the George Albert Smith Vision official LDS doctrine. There are big problems with its "chain of custody". However, there is enough there to not disregard it.

1. Bro David Horne is a family friend. I live in Georgia but talk to him on the phone every few years regarding HAM Radio. He personally tutored me at age 11 to get my Ham Radio Licence. In all the 25-year he never told me about the vision. He did discuss EMP and nuckear fallout during an occasional Stake Emergency Preparedness meetings. Bro. Horne emailed me last month on an unrelated matter and I took the opportunity to ask him about the vision. Bro. Horne replied that he stands behind the account except for the "Greek" comment. He says his brother didn't remember that detail. The majority of the family was present at the time the vision was related. I believe Bro. Horne has several siblings that recall the vision. Bro. Horne's brother recorded the vision in his journal at the time it was given. So, not everything about the vision is based on distant recollection.

2. There is another vertually identical version of the vision posted at the beginning of this thread by a Charles Fuchs? of LaVerkin, UT. Again, the LaVerkin account was supposedly recorded by the author's brother.

3. Details of the vision match expert global assessment by Joel Skousen who is a political scientist and was a former chair of the National Conservative Committee. If you read "Strategic Relocation: North American Guide to Safe Places" Skousen details why Russia and China are an imminent (next 10 years) nuclear threat. Skousen is convinced due to a the continual Communist nuclear buildup (Yamantau) and unilateral US disarmament that Russia and China will firststrike the US and invade. There is no MAD (mutually assured distruction). US bombers will be hit on the ground by stealth subs. Silos in MT, ND, MO were taken off automatic retaliation status by Pres Clinton. We will get hit and surrender without retaliation.

4. Then there are all the scripture prophecy and words of more modern prophets. Pres Benson in General Conference and Elder McConkie in the Ensign specifically say that the Abomination of Desolation (Tumpet 5/Woe 1) spoken of in scripture will be a nuclear holocaust. Rev 18 discusses the Burning of Babylon. Joel 1-3 discusses the invasion of heathen armies, Isa 17 warns that when Damascus is destroyed (one of the oldest cities in the world), "the fortress of Ephraim will cease". Zech 5 speaks of the "curse of the Earth" being a flying [magillah] that is a fire offering [ishah], containing an [ephah] or talent of lead at its mouth, that will consume both the timber and stones of your house.
