Good for Rand Paul

Post by Silver »

The following is a comment found below an article on Zerohedge about the junior senator from Kentucky trying to block arms sales to the perfectly evil House of Saud. Shame on Donald Trump for pushing the sale. Shame on Trump for breaking campaign promises. Shame on Americans who voted for Trump and Hillary. Sackcloth and ashes is the only future we have because choices have consequences.

"Good for Rand Paul.

For sure the deal will go through, the arms will be transferred, the attacks will be merciless, and carnage will cover Yemen.

And American "advisors" will be there to help with mop up.

When dead Americans start appearing on the screen the signatories can take some responsibility.

There are thousands of poor peasants, farmers, street vendors, and their families who will not see the end of this year.

They will be sent to violent deaths thanks to this decision.

And what will the Custodians of Mecca do with all the young orphans left to wander the streets and fend for themselves?

Will the pious Saudis send in Islamic missionaries to feed and care for them?

Or Saudi medical teams to heal them?

Or volunteer Saudis to rebuild villages and towns?

Of course not.

That's Infidel work.

The wounded and terrified youngsters will be recruited into the ranks of the children's armies that are so prevalent in developing nations.

Or maybe folded into the psychotic Syrian rebel groups to replenish their ranks as they await more weapons from their proven friend John McCain.

Every resident of Saudi Arabia great and small should be ashamed of himself.

They flip out over a woman's face uncovered but they are happy to work with Infidels to destroy their poor Islamic neighbors.

The first Islamic nation was Yemen and this is the thanks they get from Saudi Arabia.

What is in Yemen that the Saudis are so eager to murder Yemenis out of the way?

This will fall back on them yet." (close quote)

Another comment in the same article:

"I wonder if Trump would have been victorious in the Presidential election if we had viewed him doing a sword dance with the headchoppers and whooping it up or kissing the Wall with a little beanie on the back of his head?"

Do you think Romney would have got the Rep nomination if he had stood?

I don't. He was damaged goods. I certainly wouldn't have voted for him.

$110 Billion Weapons Sale to Saudis Has Jared Kushner’s Personal Touch
By MARK LANDLER, ERIC SCHMITT and MATT APUZZOMAY 18, 2017

WASHINGTON — On the afternoon of May 1, President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, welcomed a high-level delegation of Saudis to a gilded reception room next door to the White House and delivered a brisk pep talk: “Let’s get this done today.”

Mr. Kushner was referring to a $100 billion-plus arms deal that the administration hoped to seal with Saudi Arabia in time to announce it during Mr. Trump’s visit to the kingdom this weekend. The two sides discussed a shopping list that included planes, ships and precision-guided bombs. Then an American official raised the idea of the Saudis’ buying a sophisticated radar system designed to shoot down ballistic missiles.

Sensing that the cost might be a problem, several administration officials said, Mr. Kushner picked up the phone and called Marillyn A. Hewson — the chief executive of Lockheed Martin, which makes the radar system — and asked her whether she could cut the price. As his guests watched slack-jawed, Ms. Hewson told him she would look into it, officials said.

Mr. Kushner’s personal intervention in the arms sale is further evidence of the Trump White House’s readiness to dispense with custom in favor of informal, hands-on deal making. It also offers a window into how the administration hopes to change America’s position in the Middle East, emphasizing hard power and haggling over traditional diplomacy. (close quote)
