Donald Trump slams 'archaic' US constitution that is 'really bad' for the country
Republican claims the checks and balances on power woven into the US system is to blame for his problems

Donald Trump blames constitution for chaos of his first 100 days
He blamed the constitutional checks and balances built in to US governance. “It’s a very rough system,” he said. “It’s an archaic system … It’s really a bad thing for the country.”

So, is this a good example of extreme editing, spin, twist and misapplication of words, or is there a real threat to the U.S. Constitution?
I understand that people not exposed much to the U.S. Constitution may lump all government rules together as the constitution, especially foriegners, but isn't these past 100 days a fair example of the constitution actually working?

Clearly a lying politician and never a friend of the US Constitution.

The framers of the US Constitution understood human nature which seems to never change, whether in premortal life or here, and thus the product of the their work is very good. I can't imagine our current crop of lying politicians to come up with anything better.

Watch out for the Constitutional Convention. Maybe lundbaek will find those Elders he so diligently seeks when the Constitution is about to be overturned at a convention of the Gadiantons.

His actual words were that the Senate rules, specifically about the filibuster, were archaic and really bad. He never mentioned the constitution in the context presented by the UK news outlets. They transposed "Senate Rules" with "Constitution".

Those rules are/were made by the Senate itself and have no foundation in the constitution.

I suspect that since these are UK news outlets there was no malicious intent here to deceive. They probably just got things confused. Unfortunately, the statements are vastly different.

Japan's 'peace constitution' under pressure at 70

Tokyo (AFP) - Japan's American-written "peace constitution" has survived unchanged for 70 years, but nationalists seeking an overhaul are gearing up for a major new push as concerns grow over North Korean belligerence.

Conservatives have long called for the document they see as a national humiliation to be amended, but current political alignments and growing security concerns suggest they now have their best chance of success.

"The time is ripe," Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Monday in a speech to supporters of change. "We will take a historic step towards the major goal of revising the constitution in this milestone year."

Nicolás Maduro Calls for New Venezuelan Constitution - WSJ

CARACAS—Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro on Monday signed an order to convene a special assembly to redraft the country’s constitution, the latest in a string of efforts to retain power in the face of mounting protests and civil unrest.
bold, underline and color emphasis - mine.

It seems quite the coincidence that all these "hit piece" articles against constitutions came out on the same day - May 1st.
