US Marshals arresting people for not paying their federal student loans

Last week, seven deputy US Marshals arrested Paul Aker in Houston, Texas, over a student loan from nearly 30 years ago, Fox Houston reported.

The Marshals were dressed in full combat gear and carrying automatic weapons, Aker said. When they came to his door, he was confused.
"I was wondering, 'Why are you here?'" he told Fox.

The arrest was over a $1,500 student loan he received in 1987, Aker said. He says he received no certified mail or notices about the outstanding debt in the past 29 years.

To be clear, you usually can't be arrested simply for failing to pay debt in America. The US banned debtors' prisons in 1833, and the US Supreme Court ruled that they're unconstitutional.

But the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has noted that lenders can obtain judgments against you if you fail to pay.

If "you ignore an order to appear in court, a judge may issue a warrant for your arrest," the CFPB added. "You should never ignore a court order."

In Houston, private debt collectors hired by the federal government are getting federal courts to issue judgments against student debtors, US Rep. Gene Green (D-Texas) said on Fox.

"There's bound to be a better way to collect on a student loan debt that's so old," Green said on Fox.

He noted that while the original value of the loan was $1,500, interest has been accruing on the loan for the past nearly 30 years.

Student-loan debt is notoriously hard to shake. Unlike consumer debt, it is extremely unlikely to have student-loan debt discharged, even in cases of bankruptcy, meaning that the government will follow you around your entire life until the debt's paid off.

light-one, that is a pretty disturbing report.

I would suggest that the past 150 years of fraudulent ground work of admiralty law is being put to the test by our infiltrated federal government. Accordingly, states citizens need to exercise their sovereignty by asserting their with to define constitutional intent, which lawfully does not include the events reported. The common law doctrine of laches should prevent any such collection action. However, Americans will have to return the federal government to existing only as a constitutional republic.

Such seems impossible, but it is not. However, "We the people" shall have to unify in or to become a "we", then use our right to alter or abolish, because this student loan issue is but one of many methods of encroaching upon unalienable rights.

This thread is good for discussion upon strategy to overcome the obvious catch-22 surrounding the ABRIDGED purpose of free speech, which ordinarily would disable unity. However we are Americans, albeit, deeply confused in many cases, divided into many factions, but still, the potential for making this agreement in mass is very high.

Do you agree and accept that the framers of the founding documents intended for us to alter or abolish government destructive to our unalienable rights?

Do you agree and accept that the ultimate purpose of free speech is to enable the unity adequate to effectively alter or abolish?

And agreeing upon that simple definition of prime constitutional intent is ALL WE NEED TO DO, in order to begin to obsolete the infiltrated federal government that has been usurping our constitution for the last 150 years.

Yes, Jezebel. And such a mentality cannot be allowed in positions of authority. Every time this happens, and we do not use it as reason to unify with our right to our lawful and peaceful revolution, we get a little closer to slavery.

In other words, we get a little closer to slavery every day.

I would say closer to overt slavery actually. We are already in slavery.

I was hoping you would not point that out, but it's true.

Americans need confidence in their ability to unify around the natural law intent of our creator in the framing documents.
