But the only way we will heal this nation is to seek true justice on an individual basis. Rights belong to individuals, not to groups. There is no such thing as "the gay community" just as there is no such thing as "the straight community" or "the white community" or "the black community."
If you doubt any of that, then try and define "the Mormon community." I spend time on several Mormon Facebook groups, and the reason there are so many is that Mormons don't all think alike. Not by a long shot. Even within the various Mormon Facebook groups there is a wide spectrum of diverse opinion. A definable, uniform "Mormon community" does not exist.
What do you think? There is a user that I believe gets closer to the resolution than anyone else on here, and that is marc in his post about love, as love can be the common ground we start to discuss these issues on, but is there ever going to be the Mormon Community until we become as Christ, pure in charity and with his image in our countenance?
Freedom vs Coercion... Where are you (answering for myself as well) at? Do you love the gospel such that you allow freedom of your fellow believing faithful saints or do you coerce them (infringing on their rights to believe as they want) by forcing them to do as you want them to do, despite their respecting the forum owner's policies?
