A dangerous website?

http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/40375" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Two days ago, AttackWatch.com quietly crept onto the Internet. The site says, “Join Attack Wire—and help stop the attacks on the President before they start.” Another line reads: “When another unfounded attack surfaces, we’ll arm you with the truth so you can share the facts with your friends and family.”

You can, of course, register for the site and sign in. They have the requisite news feeds and files, but you can also click on “Report an Attack” to let the White House know of someone “attacking” the president. In other words, they want Joe Q. Citizen Obama supporters to report their relatives, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and acquaintances who speak out against the president or his policies.

The Founding Fathers put the First Amendment in place to guarantee freedom of speech, particularly political speech. We have the right as American citizens to disagree with our elected officials and their policies. We have the right to express that disagreement in the media in the spirit of open debate and honest discourse. We have the right to do so without fear of recrimination of any kind. Sadly and frighteningly, this administrations feels differently.

If the Constitution we’re enough for you, that institution so loved by Mr. Obama and others of his ilk, the United Nations, has recognized the right to freedom of expression as a human right under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and recognized that right in international human rights law in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).

Article 19 of the ICCPR states that “[e]veryone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference” and “everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice.”

Obama has had a slew of bad ideas throughout his administration, but AttackWatch.com ranks up there with the worst. If we wish to protect our freedoms, we must speak out against the encouragement of neighboring reporting neighbor, of father reporting son. We must shout loud and clear that the intention of AttackWatch.com far oversteps what is acceptably American and within our founding principles.

You didn't catch the news? Yes, it is "legit". Illegal as hell, according to the Constitution, but "legit".

Not even the first time this administration has done it, either. The first time was through the official White House website. This time it's through his campaign corporation, so at least he's not using taxpayer money for it (supposedly).

Yeah, but poorly done, IMO. The people simply aren't behind Obama enough for this to work and gain ground, and there is enough anti-Obama sentiment that this will be realized for what it is amongst most of Americans.

I've had the feeling for a while now that Obama is a disappointment to TPTB, as he's failed to rally the country behind his agenda. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he's assassinated in a False Flag move to try to get the public behind him posthumously. Don't forget how great of a guy JFK was- despite the fact that he was a philandering cheat whose entire attraction consisted of charisma and good looks; the point is that he was Camelot, dangit!

I really hope the President isn't assassinated, as that (IMO) would be a sure sign that the bad times are days away- not weeks, months, or years.

Obama goes to a primary school to talk to the kids to get a little PR.
After his talk he offers question time. One little boy puts up his hand and Obama asks him his name.

" Walter," responds the little boy.

"And what is your question, Walter?"

"I have 4 questions:
First, why did the USA Bomb Libya without the support of the Congress? Second, why do you keep saying you fixed the economy when it's actually worse? Third, why did you say that Jeremiah Wright was your mentor, then said that you knew nothing about his preachings and beliefs? Fourth, why are we financing Brazil to drill for oil, but we aren't allowed to?"
Just then, the bell rings for recess. Obama informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess.

When they resume Obama says, "OK, where were we? Oh, that's right:
question time. Who has a question?"

Another little boy puts up his hand. Obama points him out and asks
him his name.

"Steve," he responds.

"And what is your question, Steve?"

Actually, I have 6 questions.
First, why did the USA Bomb Libya without the support of the
Congress? Second, why do you keep saying you fixed the economy when it's
actually worse? Third, why did you say that Jeremiah Wright was your
mentor, then said that you knew nothing about his preachings and beliefs?
Fourth, why are we financing Brazil to drill for oil, but we aren't
allowed to? Fifth, why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early?
And sixth, what the hell happened to Walter ?"

The Washington Post Blog COMPostdiscussed AttackWatch and finds it downright silly.

I like this comment even better than the article:
NYCPete wrote:

Actually, I have signed up and so have many of my friends and family
who did not vote for President Obama last time and are hardly likely
to vote for him this time. It was just for fun and we are not alone.
The 100,000+ is probably made up mostly of jokers who are having
fun with it. We have also reported rumors like the one that the
president has a dwarf chained up in the WH basement.

I wonder how many people are going to do this kind of thing? I would hate to be one of the people manning the inbox for the site... #-o

Glenn Beck has warned us for several years this may be coming. Obama is using many of the weapons of past progressive presidents.
Under the Espionage Act of 1917 and the Sedition Act of 1918, Wilson's administration shut down newspapers and magazines at an astounding pace. Indeed, any criticism of the government, even in your own home, could earn you a prison sentence. One man was brought to trial for explaining in his own home why he didn't want to buy Liberty Bonds.

The Wilson administration sanctioned what could be called an American fascist, the American Protective League. The APL - a quarter million strong at its height, with offices in 600 cities - carried government-issued badges while beating up dissidents and protesters and conducting warrantless searches and interrogations. Even after the war, Wilson refused to release the last of America's political prisoners, leaving it to subsequent Republican administrations to free the anti-war Socialist Eugene V. Debs and others.

Well, Thank Heavenly Father for sending us a warning voice in Glen Beck. I think I might just start calling Beck James Madison. At least there is one honest guy in the media circus.

Of course he was also creating plenty of hype to justify this sort of response!

Christopher Hahn is a crackhead! Talk about lies and misinformation. Also, did Megyn Kelly get a makeover or what? I am so glad Fox News is so fair and balanced.
