Support for the Patriot Act=

1. "Get them Arabs!"

2. "I'm not doing anything illegal, so therefore I don't mind if they rape my rights."

3. "They hate our freedom!"

THAT is the axis of evil right there. And each is based off LIES.

Obiwan wrote:The reason for the support of the Patriot Act is because it's NOT the "evil monster" Alex Jones type nuts portray it to be.

It does nothing "sinister" to the average citizen, etc. It monitors known terrorists, or those with ties to those kinds of people in other country's etc.
There are a huge amount of checks and balances in it. While I believe there are some things that could be improved with it, overall there is not a darn thing wrong with it from a Freedom or Rights perspective. Even Rand Paul would have supported it if not for one little nuance or whatever that he didn't like.

"Not a darn thing wrong with it from a freedom or rights perspective"... are you smoking crack?

Obiwan: You've obvioulsy haven't done your homework. Liberty lovers both on the right and left have clearly shown how the Patriot Act has undermined the Bill of Rights especially the 4th Amendment.

Now tell me why you're right and all these EXPWERTS from different parts of the political spectrum are wrong? I won't hold my breath
