Last week, we had the worlds biggest Gay Lesbian BiSexual Transgender (i know) Mardi Gras. Tens of thousands parading themselves, typically mocking religion, this time the theme was “its time to let us marry we just want our rights”. 500,000 australians lined the streets to see them

Presently OUR parliament is debating whether to let them marry

And yeah i write to my reps telling them i don’t want this and feel strongly about it

But do you see me getting on here saying “oh you watch, if we let them marry gods wrath will be poured out on us all”? No.

It is our more likely our insensitivity to our fellow man that god is aghast at. Our complete lack of empathy and willingness to put up artificial walls and barriers in our lives and countries. Thats what.

I could name 400 mockeries of god and his laws right now going on here in Oz, and this would be #401. Lets not forget they already live together. This is just a piece of paper which means jack.

In the USA I could write up 645 mockeries of god

Trying to link this specific issue to god deciding to pour his wrath out is taking a very myopic view of evil in our lives.

Indeed, its typical of a society that is hooked on porn, and watches a game built around alcohol sales where an advert is the highlight of it, while seeing those pretty cheerleaders continue to reinforce barbie stereotypes and continue to sexualise and enforce body image issues on another generation of teenage girls- and then gets all indignant when a known quantity’s nipple pops out during a show.

Meanwhile, it was laying waste to Fallujah with Depleted Uranium, White Phospherous and Cluster Bombs that week while it was providing Israel with the weaponry to kick off operation cast lead (just a big month in 50 years of Genocide really).

back to the thread, i think the case of sodom and gomorah is a key
our countries all have their own S&Gs, we have it, you have your Vegas etc

the thing is, there are people resisting, trying to repair the constitution, fighting for patriot acts to be repealed, freeing kids from bondage and nations from oppression, even those opposing the legislations we're discussing and so forth
us, other christians, good moslems and so on. good people standing for truth justice and the american way right
but at some point, there will be too few doing that, and then god says enough
i dont think the actions are what does it, which is what this thread got sidetracked into- the problem with that is it suffers being hobby-horsed, as we saw in HON's post about being forced to marry queers in our temples. i mean that is just not going to happen okay and people should get that into their heads.
we will never have to marry same sex people or non members in our temples,. period

I think most everyone here on the forum as well as other God revering people have come to the point of near total disappointment. I, for one, get consumed with "why won't people wake up and get things back to where they belong?"
