just an fyi :) I don't really care about the subject, don't have an opinion. Just thought I'd mention it.
Also to go along with what you have posted...

From Handbook of Instruction:
21.4.3 Artificial Insemination
The Church strongly discourages artificial
insemination using semen from anyone but the
husband. However, this is a personal matter that
ultimately must be left to the judgment of the
husband and wife. Responsibility for the decision
rests solely upon them.
Artificial insemination of single sisters is not
approved. Single sisters who deliberately refuse
to follow the counsel of Church leaders in this
matter are subject to Church discipline.

Yes, we are told to procreate and multiply and such and it is vital to our existance but you can see that it doesn't trump the parameters the Lord has set to accomplish this.

Following the Lords way always trumps our way.
Yet more and more single LDS women are going the route of donor-created babies. I have heard of no actions taken against active LDS women who do this. Personally if I were a woman who was 35 and almost past childbearing years (and no husband) I would go this route.

This will get more and more popular as the quality of males in the general US society declines and as more and more males decide porn and gaming is preferable to marriage and family.

7 women will seek out a man and ask him to take them as wives, and they will even provide their own financial security. That's what the Bible says at least. The Hadith puts it at 50 to 1. Polygamy will eventually have to come back.

Perhaps, if the people want it. So far people are doing whatever they want anyways.
People are rebelling against the church policies - as evidenced in SS marriage, sperm donation, porn use, divorce, adultry.

See, as people sin...sin is more accepted until they no longer respect or even see the point of God's laws.

I agree with this article about polygamy 100%:

http://www.gregtrimble.com/what-every-m ... -polygamy/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I just find it hard to believe that the Lord would inflict the unhappiness of polygamy on women (and men) that do not want to be a part of it. After all, His is a great plan of happiness, right? And what kind of reward would it be for us if we were destined to be sharing our man with someone else after doing all that we can to keep His commandments? Just my two cents.
