Does anyone know what the solution is to a problem I am having when typing my posts? I get to the bottom of the text box and the scroll bar kicks in - but the box keeps jumping up so that I cannot get to see the bit below the initial box.

I can write my posts in notepad first but I just wondered if there was a way around this? I've tried a different browser and still the same problem.

I think as I do not have this problem with any other forum - and I am on many - it is probably due to LDSFreedomforum or the specific software, version, mods or other factors outside my control.

Does no one else suffer this?

That may be the point. The moderators may have filtered you.

I don't think so. I would guess some unresolved incompatibility or plug in or...I don't think anyone else is experiencing this, so I don't think it is the site.

Yes. It is really annoying. And I also post on quite a few sites and have never had this happen except here. You basically type the text box full, then once you are on the bottom it jumps down to where you are typing and then jumps up so you can't see what you are typing.

And it does it from both of my my work computesr as well as from home.

A behaviour I've found with my Mac on this site is that if I post something new and need to correct a typo, I get a blank screen when I go back to do the correction. So I give up. So "there be bugs".

What browser are you using? I'm guessing Internet Explorer???

Yup, but I tried it in Chrome too - same problem.

Try firefox or safari.

Yeah, I always use firefox and have no problems. Maybe I'll try IE and see.

No problems in IE 8. ???? Sorry I can't help.

In Internet explore 8 I have had the same problem. There is a button up by where you type in your web address that you can click that will fix the problem. It is compatability mode button, click it.

Its got nothing to do with his computer - mine does exactly the same. It only happens though when I am using a quote and then commenting below.

Great, now I'm having the problem in Firefox. I type and the cursor jumps into the middle of the previous text. Then I've been getting access messages, and cannot post again so soon messages etc... It's hard not to visualize a hacker sitting back and giggling like a schoolgirl.

Well the compatibility button and running IE didn't help me, so Between that and other site problems...

Hopefully disabling my eraser head and it's buttons will fix the one set of issues. So far so good.
