HTTPS error, google search

Post by BrotherOfMahonri »

Just a suggestion, google search on the site returns HTTPS urls, which give a privacy error... do you renew your SSL cert on this forum? I guess secure information isn't as pertinent.

The SSL certificate is self-signed, so if you want to view the forum via https you would just need to tell your browser to ignore the warning.

Yes, this isn't so much about private forums as much as it is about people thinking the site is down due to https errors like this, as a web developer, you don't want this type of issue as it can cause the people who do not understand ignoring errors like this - to think the site is hacked, down, or not working or insecure.
