The Humanity Party Political Platform

Post by Rose Garden »

I'm curious what the people of this forum think of this.

Humanity Party Political Platform
Governments should exist to eliminate slavery and ensure that anyone born into this world is guaranteed equal rights to life and the support of that life until death relieves them from the involuntary obligation of existence. The rights to life include basic nutritious food, clothing, shelter, healthcare (both physical and mental), and the opportunity for an education. A proper government must provide these basic human necessities without charge through social programs or by providing the means whereby a person can obtain these rights through gainful and fulfilling employment. The obligation to protect and promote human life is required and expected and should be a government’s greatest and only responsibility.

Socialist claptrap.
I'm not trying to be rude. It sounds all very well and good on paper, sounds very compassionate. It is the blueprint for slavery, and is nothing more nor less than a Satanic twisting of the United order.

I agree. The only thing that gave me pause on it was realizing that socialized medicine seems to be the thing that gets socialized first. If socialism were to work, it should be the thing that gets set up last. Food, clothing, and shelter are far more important than health care. So why does the health care always come first? What does that say about priorities?

Because the other 3 items have already been socialized and are taken for granted.

No one really worries about food and clothing anymore. Even the poorest in America have more than they need. Shelter can be expensive, but is heavily subsidized for those who cannot afford it.

So medicine is next. And after that it will be something else. There is no end to this type of thinking.

I disagree. I wouldn't say food, clothing, or housing are socialized. Neither is health care although it's definitely heading that direction. Simply having a commodity easily available doesn't mean it's socialized. It's socialization when everyone can get those things through the government, regardless of income, and is pretty much expected to.

All those programs to feed and so on would make every human under that government a slave to pay for it.

Humanity Party Political Platform
... The rights to life include basic nutritious food. ...
Does that mean as much sugar-laden soda-pop they want and free healthcare to fix their fat butt too, after over-consumption of said unhealthy substance, better described as a poison? Image

Ha, ha! Right!?

My friend who is pushing the platform said it will only be healthy food as definitely by mass opinion and scientific study. Well, we know how successful those two elements have been so far....

My first thoughts were about foreign foods, like Korean kimchi. Kimchi is a staple to Koreans but not necessarily something most people in the U.S. would be pushing for. Would the government make sure kimchi is available so the naturalized Koreans don't starve? Would they make sure the specialized ingredients would be imported so Koreans can make their own kimchi? Or would Koreans find themselves out of luck and forced to either eat foreign foods that don't appeal to them all the time or fork out mega bucks to get the foods they need? I suspect they may find themselves in a pickle along with all others in their predicament.

Hey cool, I found a fox extra! Image

That's what I see instead of commercials; some are really good like this one about Kimchi. :ymapplause:

Currently I can't play videos without having to pay $10/GB :( . August should see the advent of high-speed cable internet once they get our second undersea cable hooked up and working, then I can finally enjoy watching videos again. :)

That's me now, with limited access to healthy food, but surrounded by stacks of carb-loaded crap. Diabetes runs rampart and native life expectancy barely breaks fifty. There was SSB legislation proposed, but the governor rejected 4 cents per fluid ounce as being too high, and nothing since. I did discover there is 5% excise tax on all soda making it $9 for a box of twelve; aspartame goes bad if it gets too hot, so the little stores will only sell single cans out of the refrigerator, amid stacks of beer and sugar-laden soda/poison. :ymsick:

The answer to the food problem has already been made into a blockbuster movie starring Charlton Heston. "It's people."
