New age limit for missionaries

Post by Elefant »

Did you hear that the church just decided that sixteen-year-olds will be called on missions? The new policy has met with overwhelming approval from the members. The reasoning is that they already know everything and their moms won't cry at their farewells.

Just a joke not seriously

I love it! Saw a sign the other day advertising attorneys;

" Just because you did it doesn't mean you're guilty." Hehehe!

Actually, it is true that you might not be guilty even if you did it. Say, for example, you, with premeditation, point a gun at somebody and, with the intention of killing him, you fire the gun and, in fact, kill him. Does that mean you are guilty of murder? As a lawyer, the correct answer is, "It depends." Was there any provocation? You might not be guilty of manslaughter and not murder. Were you coerced to do it ... for example, were you told that they would kill your child if you didn't pull the trigger? Again, not murder. Was the killing done to protect yourself or someone else whose life was in peril? Then, it might have been self defense and not murder. So, again, there are times in which you might have committed the act, but are not guilty of the charge against you.

I know the advertisement seem ridiculous on the surface and sounds like criminal defense attorneys playing games, but the statement is true.

So is that like when an officer comes to the door and says" Your dog is chasing people on a bike, and your dog doesn't even have a bike."
