All women, including Mormon women, "treat" males according to pheromone. They chase and offer "themselves" to Alphas, are "normal" around Betas, and shun, vilify, and punish Omegas.

I think the way a person treats a potential mate differs more then that, though I'd not blame them for not finding me attractive, well I guess more then skin deep, I can keep it together enough to sleep with them, but I quickly realized that's not what I wanted in life.
I think that I know I am weird makes me feel, I guess better about it and accept my place in the world?

Humans are animals, we all want the best, difference is now, we feel we all deserve it and demand it, and will settle for nothing less, only to come to a realization years later that it never will come.
I think it's our culture too, and I have my experiences and insights that I have gone on about before.
Just because you exist doesn't mean you are owed anything, the universe makes no guarantees, it goes how it wants.
The world is what it is and we live in it for a sliver of time.

I see women offended by DC 25, especially the "be better" part, didn't Jesus know Emma was a daughter of God??

At least our RS is pretty good at putting the women in their place, off the self-aggrandizing pedestal. I love hearing those reports.

I'm glad my wife got a huge chocolate bar, because I ate about 80% of it. :))

Oh, my Stake RS presidency story: In the bishopric, I asked the SRSP when they visited our ward to teach, "Could you please talk to them about honoring, sustaining, supporting, and loving their husbands?" "Huh??! No." So they proceeded to give their talks, and from what I heard, there was quite a bit of contention, and it ended on a bad note, lol.

Although, my mom's Stake RS presidency story is different: She gave a talk that the chauvinistic, controlling bishop didn't like, who talked to the SP, who chided her with the bishop present. She politely told him basically to forget it, and that if that was the way it was going to be, she would quit. She didn't have to, as she got released quickly after. :(
Good for your RS. My bishop asked me to make comments in RS along those lines, too.
My husband eats my chocolate bars, etc, too.
Wow, your mom's Stake RS President defied the SP and the Bishop? And would ditch a calling given by God? And she couldn't see anything wrong with that?
Is the church having some kind of psychotic episode right now? Maybe it is all that Cultural Marxism.
No, it was my mom.
The bishop of the ward she was visiting was furious and wanted her reprimanded by the SP because her talk showed how the RS saved the church (and the brethren) (this is history, by combining the RS with the church, the church went from financial insolvency to solvency), and tried to control her view that women can be good and glorious--they were supposed to ALWAYS to be made to feel as second-class, under the priesthood (of men who were definitely not following DC 121).
No, she knew the gospel too well to accept that kind of control and "correction" from her leaders.

The calling might have been from God, but it was controlled by the SP. ;)

They had another stake president who took up 45 minutes of a meeting after being released, talking about how good he was (and lying in part of it), to leave the visiting seventy and apostle 5 minutes total.

My father also "got fired" by another SP for not manipulating numbers so they could get more budget money. He also said it was wrong, and he wouldn't do it, they'd have to release him. So the SP did.
Johnny, I would never do this, not in a million years. If there is a real problem with a Priesthood leader, etc, take it to a higher authority, or just take it to the Lord. Otherwise, I would just shut up and do as I was told. I have to trust the Lord to take care of things like this in His own time, and in His own way. If I objected to something I was asked to do, I would go ahead and do it, and leave judgement in the hands of the Lord.

OK, so I know there was that ONE time I told off the MP and forced him to do things MY WAY. :)) Over there in the StoryHour. But I think that was an unusual circumstance, and I was REALLY afraid of being unjustly sent home for my comps behaviour, so THAT was DIFFERENT! right? :D Anyway, everything worked out for the best.......( My real plan is to be the epitome of pure obedience, at least for a little while )

Speaking of following the direction of the Bishop or Stake President, I was in Torrey Sacrament meeting and a lady was talking and she sez "the Bishop told me (or SP?) told me to tell a story about hunting. So she told how she was out hunting and whatever happened.
How about a ward where they are directed to put hunting stories into the talk? That's my kind of ward, I will definitely be back there.
That was also one of the locations where the Bishop was talking and mentioned something, and said "I know some of you are farmers". Again, they type of ward I like.
Not the type of thing you hear here in Los Angeles.

No family regrets about what was done in those situations, really. Years later, I'm pretty sure it would happen the same all over again. We're not into doing Satan's work under the guise of the Lord. Were it something we weren't sure about, or didn't go against our conscience, that would be another matter, and we likely would do as told and leave it to the Lord if/ until further guidance.

When higher authority hasn't done anything, we do the best we can.

No, your experience was the same, passionflower. Because as I reply, another incident has come into mind, and it's along the same lines, and it fits right in.

As bad as it might go, I prefer to follow my conscience (not the same as my judgment, though they are linked to some degree). I also have no doubt that if I'm wrong, the Lord will show and teach me.

I have no doubt that the Lord will take care of things.
