Betsy Ross. America. Our nation's flag. Faithful to our founding principles.

This lady has accomplished a lot.

Betsy was born in Pennsylvania and even though her father was a janitor, she went to some prestigious schools in Massachusetts and New York and got her Ph.D. in constitutional history in 1976. After graduating she ran in increasingly powerful circles in academia and government. She wrote an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal that opposed First Lady Clinton's early efforts to cram socialized government healthcare down our throats. That op-ed piece was later expanded into a 5-page article and Betsy received praise and credit for being instrumental in stopping HillaryCare. It was 1994.

Oh yeah, Betsy, nee Elizabeth Helen Peterken, became Mrs. Betsy McCaughey in 1972 through her marriage to Thomas McCaughey, a Yale grad. They had three children.

Given the fame that Betsy gained in her fight against Killary, George Pataki, a state senator in NY, asked Betsy to join him on the Republican party ticket as Lt. Governor. She accepted. They won. On January 1, 1995, she was sworn in.

Oh yeah, Betsy Peterken McCaughey, divorced Thomas in 1994 during the campaign for the NY office.

It seems she and her boss, the Governor, did not see eye to eye on things and Pataki chose a different running mate for his 1998 election. Betsy apparently liked striding through the halls of power so she ran for governor as a Democrat. Imagine that. Well, she lost in the primary to a guy who would go on to lose to Pataki. Betsy is not a quitter though so she switched parties again, this time to the Liberal Party, and won their nomination, but only garnered a handful of votes.

Oh yeah, Elizabeth "Betsy" Helen Peterken McCaughey married Wilbur Ross in December, 1995, less than a year after being sworn in as Lt. Gov. Our Elizabeth was now a real-life Betsy Ross.

Seems our winner, Betsy, didn't like losing. Her brilliant life, nothing but rainbows and unicorns to that point, was not able to handle the defeat. He filed for divorce. She sued him for $40 million because Wilbur, a Rothschild banker, saw that she couldn't win and clawed back more than half of the campaign funds he had promised her. Smart man. Knows how to handle money, no doubt.

Betsy has been on TEEVEE and stuff since her defeat in 1998 as she tries to stay relevant. She now calls herself Betsy McCaughey, Ph.D. She even has her own website where she calls herself "Liberty Belle."

The most informative thing about the life of the other Betsy Ross is how the rich and powerful don't really care about politics at the top. They care about power. The Wilbur Ross in Betsy's life is, of course, the United States Secretary of Commerce in the Trump administration and a long-time prominent Democratic Party fundraiser.

In other words, the Gadiantons just want power and wealth and they don't care about the political party initial that follows their name.

Yeah, nobody likes to admit that the US is run by an oligarchy of the rich and powerful, but it is. It appears that some people, like this modern-day Betsy Ross, can still rise up from humble ranks. However, those opportunities are becoming more and more limited as the debt balance grows and the ROI on new debt falls.

I imagine that all the other countries in the world are run by the rich and powerful too. As long as it costs so much money to run for office, the rich and connected will always have an advantage over the rest of us. I also agree that the days of the little guy in America rising from humble ranks to become rich are probably limited to the really talented, really beautiful, really inventive, really lucky, or the crooked. Intelligence and hard work may not be enough anymore to get one out of a life in the middle class.

Alright, I would not have written about Elizabeth "Betsy" Helen Peterken McCaughey Ross McCaughey if she had not married Wilbur Ross, the Rothschild banker. Here's a guy that was willing to pledge approximately $70 million of his own money just to help his wife become the Governor of New York. Wow, that must be a good-paying job to expect to get $70MM back in a four-year term. Where do I sign up for a job like that?

These are the kind of people who own Amerika now. They let us vote to make us feel good, but it doesn't matter which party the elites belong to because they are the only ones having a party. The rest of us just need to shut up and pay our taxes.
