Foal Eagle is an annual exercise that has been going on for years, just like other exercises all over the world. There would have been B-52s, B-1s, and B2s, numerous navy ships, and lots of army troops participating in the exercise whether North Korea test fired any missiles or spent the weekend picking cabbage. Fake news for the uneducated and easy to frighten.

Kim Il Sung was convinced that war with the US was inevitable. Kim Jong-il and Kim Jong-un share that belief. Jong-un may be delusional enough to think he can win but his predecessors were convinced they couldn't win such a war and therefore wanted to inflict as much damage as they could before being overwhelmed.

The B-52s shouldn't be any big deal but Jong-un and his advisers are probably pretty concerned over the B1-B Lancers and F-35 Lightnings being deployed to South Korea.

oh my, not this argument again. How about this: The earth was once flat with the illusion of being round... then the 10 tribes were taken from the earth, and a significant amount of mass was lost. The earth was reformed into a sphere, but life was protected from the changes by priesthood power, and remained oblivious to the changes. At the second coming, the earth will be made flat once again (Anyone remember the passage from Revelations that says the earth will be rolled up like a scroll?)

Nice theory. I like potatoes. I don't mean to derail the thread because war with NK would not be good. But earth shape is important. If NK is going to EMP us and the earth is round then they hit their target. If earth is flat and NK doesn't know that then they EMP the whole world. Ok time to be serious here, sorry.

It is fake news because the media is pretending it's a provoking and unprecedented action. If bombers are sent to South Korea every year for these exercises then why is the deployment of B-52s so upsetting to you this year even though I don't see any negative posts from you on the subject of bombers being sent to Korea in the two previous years since you joined the forum?
