Re: I want a refund for my mission.

... Yep. We have a number of posters on the forum who are in various stages of belief in the church and various stages of resentment towards the church. These types of threads always give them one more opportunity to 'kick against the pricks'. I guess it satisfies some need. Only if the likes of me...

Re: Trump Launches His Asinine Protectionist Trade Policy With Some Mega Tariffs

I don't know enough about this issue to make any specific points regarding timber prices/trade etc. However, I would ask why on earth the US is importing timber from Canada, or anywhere else for that matter? Surely, US forests are vast and should provide all of America's needs. Somewhat of an inter...

It's basically the same as rewriting history, the "revisionist" history that we have been seeing for many years now.

Re: Dreams of Mission (are we to return)?

I didn't go on a mission. However, throughout my life I always had dreams about what I was doing. In college, dreams about the material I was studying, and prior to exams dreams reviewing the answers to the exam. Same in law school. Frequently I would have dreams that it was nearly October and I for...

Silver, And people here mock at the idea of owning precious metals as a financial reserve. Silver, Amen! I follow Venezuela pretty closely, not only because it is a Socialist horror story in our own backyard that just goes on, and on, but because I used to work in Venezuela in the early to mid 80s. It makes it kind of personal. I once noted on this board, that I could not find anything o...

Re: What are some ideas that could bring the left and right together?

I can't really think of a single thing. It looks like no one else can either, or at least in one and a half days. Maybe someone is still thinking about it. I guess it's like trying to herd cats. Cats don't like to go anywhere is straight lines. Or trying to find logic in a mental institution. You mi...

Re: Idaho Falls Temple going live?

According to LDS.org, the Seattle Temple offers special live endowment sessions throughout the week, and presumably other temples do as well? I guess Salt Lake and Manti are the only temples that are exclusively live. No. There is a difference between live sessions and sessions for the living. dc

Colleges and universities are businesses. They are there to make money and perpetuate the school. It has long been known. Degree mills. They may have hidden the screen well, but the projector is sticking out there like a sore thumb. I heard that they used to have live sessions there. I've been to 9 different Temples. My favorites are Salt Lake and Manti as they still use the live session, which is so much more meaningful to me. I'm not a "movie" fan. What should our solution be then for the cockroach problem? Extermination. Also some cleaning up around the house, mostly the kitchen. Love how one students speaks of how sociology has had the final word on issues relating to male and female constructs. Re: College Kids Say the Darndest Things

Not to worry, most will graduate with tons of debt and a future living in mom's basement, at least the males. Most college graduates these days are women, or perhaps I should say they were born with female genetics. So women will have more debt than men starting out professionally. Additionally, ma...

Re: Immigration; Muslim Immigrants =/= Lamanite Immigrants

I certainly don't think the solution is to destroy Islam. I agree that maybe we should want it to die out, due to it's barbarism, etc., but destroy it is not possible, not feasible. I think the solution is that Islam remain in the middle east where they are dominant, stop killing Christians and Jews...
