Re: Changes coming to the way Sacrament meeting is conducted

LGBT movements are all the same thing just in different shades. The scary thing about them, is that Satan has mingled a truth (we all could be better examples of demonstrating charity to those struggling with this weakness), however this truth has been mingled with a destructive lie that denies the ...

Re: Are we suppose to pay tithing on our "Surplus Property"

i work managing business units for a large corporation here in the southern region of the U.S. I get a report every month that shows how much gross and net sales they each bring for that fiscal period. (Let's compare this to the average joe bringing home a paycheck that also shows a gross income and...

Both my wife and I carry. Can't stress how much I agree with the previous post about "being aware of your surroundings" as being your number one tool to protect yourself though.I carry while at church or at the temple. (I know the Church has a policy against it, but it's concealed, so who is going t...

Re: Eternity and Eternal Lives

In what way is this entire thread not espousing the doctrine of 're-incarnation? The curious wording of "lives" and "deaths" that is causing this confusion would be better comprehended when it is understood that that are being used to describe a collective body. (I.e.- multiple human beings-multiple...

Re: Guess who the frontrunner is for the GOP for 2016?

Cain and Judas knew the evil they were committing. I'd not put Mitt Romney in that class; not by any means. But I will say that Mitt Romney appears to be ignorant of the principles of the US Constitution (even by his own admission back during the 2012 debates) and ignorant of his responsibility to ...

Frank, you are absolutely correct in pointing out that it would be hypocritical of us to condemn homosexuals for their sins, when we ourselves are sinners. (Beam/mote in the eye...) That being said, I believe that those here are trying to state, that acting on homosexuality or any other sinful act i...

Re: Why is the Mass Media Promoting 'Gay Rights'??

Those who believe that this whole gay rights issue is about civil rights, really have had the wool pulled over their eyes.

There is an agenda here, and its full purpose was authored by Satan, himself. Those that toil in this endeavor are working, unwittingly most likely, for the deceiver.

Re: In Adam and Eve's defense...

The best lies are the ones that have truth intertwined with them, thus giving the lie a sort of camouflage. It makes the prospect of it not being detected, all the more likely. Yet, no matter how skillfully dressed up a lie may be, a lie it remains. Eve was lied to. She did believe Lucifer when he t...

We see this in the vision by Mosiah Hancock when he sees pairs created... Male & female, then we r commanded to be one... In order to Gods you must be one, male & female. God the Father & God the Mother are one. Therefore 'they' are God. All our definitions are based on our perspective. If you hold...

I concur that a lot of feminist ideology has been read into the account of Adam and Eve. (Most disturbingly, a lot of this is coming from our own church)

That being said, if we posted this on the Church website (or anything talking about Godesses for that matter), we would have a tough time getting people to believe that we are Christians and not Pagans. Why we would have a desire to be recognized as "Christians", before a desire to teach the doctri...

Thank you Rensai for posting that great article. I actually had heard of this before, and believe it or not, I think it makes a whole lot of sense. I've said it once, and I'll say it again: It doesn't mean a hill of beans if somebody is a member of the church. There are plenty of crumb bum mormon's (In name only) that are involved in all kinds of bad business.

Don't ever let your guard down, even if the person is supposedly a member.

Threads like these always run the risk of getting all "New Age" with incense and weird music playing in the background. The whole thing about us not talking about Heavenly Mother to "protect" Her, is a mormon-made doctrine. It's not in scriptures, not in any revelation, etc.... 8-| I believe it is f...

I saw the movie. Very powerful, at least in the sense of showing a taste of the suffering that He went through for all of us. It brings tears to my eyes even writing this. Adam was the first man. The geneology set forth in the scriptures ends at Adam. There are also numerous sc...

No, not heresy, but it CAN be a diversion to lose sight of what is most important. I wouldn't read too much into an interpretation that states that God is limited to knowledge while one of His wives is the wise one. That sounds like a philosophy of man, mingled with scripture. :-?

If what Snuffer and his followers claim to be true, that our church is indeed fallen and it is led by a false prophet, then why does he not follow the precedent of a true prophet and expose the false prophet for what he is? . . .Elijah did so with the priests of Baal. Re: Did polygamy destroy the church?

No it didn't. If you look at the fruit of polygamy while it was practised in the Church, you will see the great number of church leaders that came from those plural families. Their leadership was integral in the building up of the kingdom. I firmly believe the Lord instituted it to "raise seed quick...
