Re: Sheriff Joe Arpaio Has Now Been Held In Criminal Contempt

It is my understanding that the Constitutional Peace Officers and Sheriffs Association has tried to educate Arpaio in constitutional principles and to get him to join the organization, to no avail. So it seems he has lost a lot of support from constitutionalists

Re: Sheriff Joe Arpaio Has Now Been Held In Criminal Contempt

Sheriff Arpaio nevr demonstrated much knowledge of the principles of the US Constitution that I and others concerned about allegiance to the Constitution could detect. And for that reason he is not getting the support of many Arizonans of my acquaintance who believe he was justified in most of what ...

Re: Sheriff Joe Arpaio Has Now Been Held In Criminal Contempt

As I stated in an earlier post, many Arizonans are hopful that Arpaio will *get the max* in order to send the message that you don't interfere with illegal immigration in Arizona. His successor as Sheriff of Maricopa County has made it clear that he will not enforce immigration Laws Re. illegal immi...

2.) American POWs left behind after the Korean War
3.) American MIAs and POWs left behiind after the Vietnam War
4.) Passengers and crew, living or dead, from the Korean Air Lines Flight 007

Re: Should Members of the Church Study and Abide by the US Constitution?

I believe we should study the US Constitution and Bill of Rights and become familiar with their original intent/meaning, and also we should become aware of the meaning and intent of the 17 subsequent amendments, some of which have increased our freedoms and others of which have infringed on our free...

Re: News You Can Use

Years - decades - ago we were told what to do by prophets and apostles. Very few members of the Church did as we were told. For some years now I have felt constrained to try to make Latter-day Saints aware of our divinely mandated responsibilities to study, uphold and abide by the principles of the ...

They Are Well Above Us

The Lord commanded us to awake to a sense of our awful situation because of a secret combination that SHALL be among us. We have suffered that those murderous combinations have gotten above us. Now what ? Wake up and die right !

Seriously, what can we do now ?

I fail to see how a payment of hundreds of billions of dollars could be made to foreign governments without members of the US Congress approving it and the payments made known to the American public.

Re: Didn't Joseph Smith Prophesize About This?

It seems there is very little awareness of the depreciation of the currency of the United States. I have noticed over the years that the $US now has about 1/10 of the purchasing power that it had 60 years ago. And other countries I have lived and worked in seem to have had similar devaluations of th...

PUERTO RICO VOTES TO APPLY FOR STATEHOOD

PUERTO RICO VOTES TO APPLY FOR STATEHOOD In a surprisingly low turnout (27%) a small minority of voters elected to seek statehood in the United States of America. It’s a bad idea for many reasons. First and foremost, it would provide two more Leftist Democrats to the Senate roster, and secondly, Pue...

Spider, thank you for telling us that your son's patriarchal blessing tells your son that he should study and learn of the early founding fathers and the founding of this nation. Re: Warnings from the Past

Freedom/Liberty is no more a gospel hobby for me that it was for Presidents Benson, McKay, Clark, and other Church general authorities who spoke about the importance of protecting our freedoms. I don't think their failure to get more Church members moving in the freedom battle is a reflection on the...

Re: Warnings from the Past

I believe that Church general authorities do not speak as did Elder Mark E. Petersen did (above) is because: 1.) Doing so could antagonize certain elements in the US government and in governments of other countries, and lead to retribution and persecution that would disrupt the Church's missionary a...

Re: Waking Up To Secret Combinations

Last year during our SS lessons from the Book of Mormon I noticed that a lot of LDS people continue to think that modern day Gadianton Robbers are gangs, terrorists, and the like. It is a real shame that such ignorance prevails in the Church.

Re: Should Members of the Church Study and Abide by the US Constitution?

Later this year 2017 Sunday School Lesson 44 will afford an excellent opportunity to initiate discussion about the significance of the US Constitution to Latter-day Saints. I suggest studying Doctrine and Covenants 58:21–22, 26–28; 98:4–10; 134; and Articles of Faith 1:12 well beforehand, and during...

Re: How long before the insane left pushes for this in America?

The church has tried to educate us on what needs to be done, and waited pretty much in vain for members to take action and do it. For the most part members did not take a stand and act. I appears to me that even now way too few Church members would be willing to get involved in correcting the course...

Re: How to save the Constitution

It seems that to most American LDSs, including many, perhaps most members of this LDSFreedomForum saving the Constitution is not important. I think that instead of praying that God will save it for us, people should be asking how they can help save it.
